Saudi woman sues ministry over driving ban

.
What you fail to understand, uncle!

Who you? Did I said any of the stuff you mentioned?

As i said, it will be a challenge for women and interior ministry, because Saudi Arabia is not normal society.

I really wish that Saudi govt. give the permission, this way hypocracy of foreigners will be un-earthed.

In case permission is granted, I can bet only foreigners would ban their women from driving not the Saudis.

Your idiotic logic is what i don't understand!

.
What we have here is another case of identity confused Pakistani with inferiority syndrome!

What are you wearing Saudi flag?

I know many who work in Saudi Arabia but loyal to another state. Nothing wrong in identifying them as hypocrites.

There are hordes of foreigners, make their living by begging but come back on forums to complain, this is a fact, no need to get upset.

Your idiotic logic is what i don't understand!

I repeat only last time,...... It is the hypocrite foreigners, who do not wish their own women to drive but they complain in hope, that Saudis will not lift the ban.

I simply ask you to imagine the scenario, if the ban is lifted! and explain your own position first.

no in canada!!

And you think Canadians are different from Europeans? haha, where did you think they came from? China? loyal to the crown? no, they victims of circumstances knowing who the boss in Canada is.

.
Clearly you have not visited Saudi Arabia, try google earth to find out.

Out of all the world's problems, these idiots are still scratching their heads on women's rights. I don't need to visit that dessert, the laws are enough to expose their barbaric mentality

doesn't concern you does it?

Women driving has nothing to do with women's right. driving or being driven is same thing.
Its up to the society to wether accept women to drive in the major cities of the kingdom as a social norm or simply reject it, It is a social issue not governmental. As far as I know women drive in small towns and villages However, majority of women in Saudi Arabia considers driving as a downgrading to their prestige lifestyle. they like to be driving around and not vise versa. and btw who cares what you say you are not in a position that allows you to evaluate such an internal matter. keep your nose where it belongs.

.
Obviously, the driving ban for woman is beyond absurdity and a clear violation of basic human rights. Saudi Arabia must be continously pressured over many such absurd laws that have absolutely no place in either Islam or this world. They are a disgrace. Where is the Organization of the Islamic Conference? Pathetic, they are good for nothing.

LOL how stupid. These people are still living in the stone age.

Most Saudis don't even realize that being ruled by a "King" is totally un-Islamic. And ascribing some sort of "divinity" to him is undoubtedly pure shirk. Pure polytheism.

Saudi Authorities Use SMS To Track Women And Inform Husbands

Saudi women have come under even more constraint in the Gulf kingdom with the news that they are being electronically tracked by the authorities so their travel movements can be monitored.

Already denied the right to drive cars alone and to travel without the consent of their male guardians, women are now being electronically monitored to track any cross-border movements.

It is illegal for Saudi women to travel abroad without male accompaniment and can only do so if their guardian agrees by signing a document know as the 'yellow sheet' at an airport or border crossing.

According to press reports, Manal al-Sherif, who highlighted the driving issue in the kingdom last year by urging women to defy the ban, relayed this new information on Twitter, after she was alerted by a couple who were travelling together.

The husband received a text message on his phone from the immigration authorities telling him that his wife had left Riyadh airport.

Unsurprisingly, the news has aroused some anger on Twitter:

How sick can it get? - Electronic tracking at border is a new constraint for #Saudi women Electronic tracking is a new constraint for Saudi women - Your Middle East #womensrights

As if #Saudi women didnt have it bad enough, theyre being electronically tracked whenever they try to leave the country AFP: Electronic tracking: new constraint for Saudi women

#Saudi: On Being Born with the Wrong Reproductive Parts to Travel Alone: Al Rihla: One Being Born with the wrong reproductive parts to travel alone... Storytime with Bayan ;) #iAmMyOwnGuardian

The monitoring has also been condemned by the writer, Badriya al-Bishr, who described the authorities' actions as 'backward'.

"This technology is the result of a backward mentality that wants to keep us as prisoners," she told Asia News.

Al Arabiya reported that the surveillance was triggered by the escape of a Saudi woman to Sweden earlier this year. She was believed to have converted to Christianity although she later denied this and insisted she wanted to return to Saudi Arabia.

She was helped to leave the country by a Saudi colleague and a Lebanese man who has reportedly since been imprisoned.

The kingdom is governed by strict Sharia law and it was only last year that women were given the right to vote and run for office in municipal elections in 2015.

Well I don't really know about that. But it's definite the Saudis are pretty insecure about women, do they have something to hide? :what:
