Yemeni Forces Destroy Saudi Warship Off Western Coasts
Yemeni army forces, backed by fighters from allied Popular Committees, have targeted and destroyed a Saudi military vessel in a missile attack off the coast of the country’s western province of Hudaydah.
An unnamed Yemeni military source told Arabic-language al-Masirah television network on Monday that Yemeni forces fired a guided missile at al-Madinah warship in waters near the port city of Hudaydah, located 150 kilometers southwest of the capital Sana'a.
The source added that the vessel had 176 soldiers and officers in addition to a combat helicopter onboard at the time.

The warship had reportedly mounted missile attacks against Yemen’s western coasts, cities and fishermen, Press TV reported.

It was old Chinese C-801. Be sure Iranian missile called Noor, would have bisected the ship if were used against that ship like the one Hezbollah used against Israeli Saer-5 warship. :

And don't worry, we are not afraid to say it openly, and if we had provided those missiles, honestly would tell you immediately :D
Yemen has plenty of old Russian and Chinese missiles and most of them are being used by Yemeni army.
This image shows an under keel detonation of a US made mk 48 torpedo. The ship is the decommissioned Australian frigate HMAS TORRENS. Not at all a missile (and certainly not like any used against INS Hanit, which suffered only limited damage.

The Houthies were in rush to upload this video just looking for any victory on the media but they forgot to hide the voice of the Iranian terrorists who were helping them to launch this failed attack. Notice there's an Iranian terrorist speaking in Farsi at 00:13 in the video, and after we cluster bomb these Houthi terrorists they bark everywhere that they don't have any link to Iran!

So much for calling yourself "Arabi" ROFL.

The Yemeni guy was saying: "قسمآ انهي اباتشي هيذكي."

In Yemeni slang, he was telling the person next to him that he swore he saw an Apache flying near them.

Looks like an Al Madinah class frigate, especially with how far back the gun is mounted. 2100 tons, lightly armed in terms of defensive weapons with one 8-cell Crotale (18 missiles in reserve. 26 total), a 100mm gun and several 40mm guns rounding out their defensive loading. Poor by modern standards and substandard for anti-missile ops.

They don't have a CWIS and Crotale may not have been armed for launch. They're defensive weapons, but it's possible the ship wasn't or couldn't scan for threats. Just because you have a close-in weapon or defensive countermeasures doesn't mean they're primed or that the ship's active or passive sensors are expecting or searching for a threat.
They carry 2x Dardo twin 40mm cannon by OtoBreda (600 rpm standard or 900 rpm if the 'fast forty' version). That system's primary purpose is to defend against anti-ship missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles and other precision guided weapons. It can also be employed against conventional and rotary-wing aircraft, surface ships, small water-crafts, coastal targets and floating mines. Essentially the same as found on Italian Meastrale and Lupo frigates, South Korean Ulsan class frigates and scores of FAC's.

The missile system is R-440 Crotale. The original design aim of the Crotale was point defence, to engage supersonic low flying fighters. The kinematic performance of the Crotale missile and angular field of regard of the engagement radar are both compatible with the “Counter-PGM” role. Crotale Navale EDIR octuple launcher is also found on e.g. French Georges Leygues-class frigates

How much does that missile cost?
And how much does that warship cost?
That warship is much more expensive. Then again, it is also old (1985/86) and close to end of service life.

In 2013 the class was reportedly to receive a modernization. I am not clear whether this has occurred (yet) for all 4 ships.

That's just propaganda of Israeli media. That ship was completely sunk. At the bottom of the sea feeding the fishes :enjoy:
Yes, and pigs can fly.

Use google earth and examine Haifa. There are 3 corvettes clearly visible in port e.g. at 4 december 2010 and at 20 december 2014. And, more importantly, also on 31 august 2006.

The attack on INS Hanit took place 14 July 2006.

These ships were built in the US, by Litton Ingalls, and not in Israel.
INS Eilat Launched: February 1993 Commissioned: 21 May 1994
INS Lahav Launched: August 1993 Commissioned: 23 September 1994
INS Hanit Laid down: 5 April 1993 Launched: 5 March 1994 Commissioned: 7 February 1995

Go figure.

There is no way a sunken ship could have been replaced that quick, not even by the US.

It's not Persian. I didn't understand a word.

So, SUICIDE BOAT is was. (not a missile)

Post explosion image: some smoke at the stern, no fire, ship is not listing or down by either bow or stern.
This suggests limited damage (perhaps the attackers chose the stern because there was a helicopter on the deck)

LOL, You even came up with a new dialect, next time you will say the Saudis are attacking themselves to accuse Iran.
You can repeat the video several times and you will notice by yourself that neither it sounds like Yemeni nor he sounds like the other guy who is commenting in the same video.
