Saudi Arabia's Zamil Offshore Services launched the first of four logistics ships it is building for the Kuwaiti Coast Guard on 26 August, according to local media reports.
The 46 m Al-Zour 10 was launched during a ceremony at the Zamil yard in Dammam that was attended by Major General Sheikh Muhammad bin Yusuf al-Sabah, assistant undersecretary for border security at the Kuwaiti Interior Ministry.
The contract had not previously been reported and is a rare example of a Gulf state building naval vessels for another Gulf state.
