What's new

Saudi donors most signifcant source of terrorism funding in Pakistan

What? Now even Saudis are RAW, CIA, Mossad agents?

This is what Pakistani marxist media implies.

So you must believe it as 110% truth.

most of the terrorists are not Pakistanis, they are Afghan, Uzbek etc and are mercenaries but I think you failed to get my point, I was saying that the world turns an blind eye to Saudi sponsorship and bash Pakistan for supposedly sponsoring terrorism within its border.....:coffee:

A lot of Saudis openly attack and kill and disagree with their Qaida goons.

--- KSA is ruthless in putting down and Islamist Talibarbarian raising his ugly head in their country

--- KSA absolutely refuses to tolerate let alone negotiations with any Islamist organization

So the world feels Saudi government and its top elite are against the likes of QAiDA

The day Pakistani people and Pakistani government starts treating our Talibarbarians the same way

The world will change in our favor as well.

Look at YOUR OWN actions before blaming KSA

Thank you

I am not against the Saudis personally or something but the fact remains that the Saudis will not tolerate terrorism on its home turf but readily finance and advocate it abroad, talk about double standards, lets face it the worlds premiere terrorist was a Saudi and many top leadership still are, the rest I agree that we Pakistanis are to blame first and foremost because we are actually the ones doing the killing and we need to stomp the Taliban hard.....

Again you are lumping all Saudis together. That is wrong

----- Saudi gov and its ruling elite has very clear policy against Qaida and Islamists
----- Pakistani gov and its ruling elite DOESNOT have clear policy against Islamists.

On the other hand

--- Some Saudis who oppose their government fund Islamists
--- These Saudis have been stopped by Saudi government,
--- But these Sauidis HAVE NOT been stopped by Pakistani ruling elite

Hope you see the difference instead of lobbing blanket attacks

I never make blanket attacks mate, sorry if it appeared so, I know if some people in a society are bad or good that doesnt make the entire society bad or good, just like all Pakistanis are not terrorists, all Jews are not Zionists, all whites are not fascists not all Saudis are funding terrorism.
Peace

All the funding is coming from Saudi so it doesent matter if all are doing it or some are ?they are doing it.

While the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) takes seriously the threat of terrorism within Saudi Arabia, it has been an ongoing challenge to persuade Saudi officials to treat terrorist financing emanating from Saudi Arabia as a strategic priority.

Still, donors in Saudi Arabia constitute the most significant source of funding to Wahhabi terrorist groups worldwide. Continued senior-level USG engagement is needed to build on initial efforts and encourage the Saudi government to take more steps to stem the flow of funds from Saudi Arabia-based sources to terrorists and extremists worldwide.
(S/NF) The USG engages regularly with the Saudi Government on terrorist financing. The establishment in 2008 of a Treasury attache office presence in Riyadh contributes to robust interaction and information sharing on the issue. Despite this presence, however, more needs to be done since Saudi Arabia remains a critical financial support base for al-Qa'ida, the Taliban, LeT, and other terrorist groups, including Hamas, which probably raise millions of dollars annually from Saudi sources, often during Hajj and Ramadan. In contrast to its increasingly aggressive efforts to disrupt al-Qa'ida's access to funding from Saudi sources, Riyadh has taken only limited action to disrupt fundraising for the UN 1267-listed Taliban and LeT-groups that are also aligned with al-Qa'ida and focused on undermining stability in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Saudi Arabia has enacted important reforms to criminalize terrorist financing and restrict the overseas flow of funds from Saudi-based charities. However, these restrictions fail to include &multilateral organizations8 such as XXXXXXXXXXXX Intelligence suggests that these groups continue to send money overseas and, at times, fund extremism overseas. In 2002, the Saudi government promised to set up a &Charities Committee8 that would address this issue, but has yet to do so. The establishment of such a mechanism, however, is secondary to the primary U.S. goal of obtaining Saudi acknowledgement of the scope of this problem and a commitment to take decisive action.

But these Saudis HAVE NOT been stopped by Pakistani ruling elite

Pakistani ruling elites what about the people who knowingly lie about situation? and try to hide and open secret ?

Hope you see the reality and instead of lobbying on behalf of Fathers of terrorism, you speak up for pakistan you know the country you claim to be from Mr historian.

thats it dear

whats the point criticizing our friends and brothers and enemies etc when we cant stop their funding and support in our country?
it is the job of our banking sector and financial authorities to seize such funds and confiscate them. our law enforcement agencies must capture the terrorists and our legal system should punish the terrorists and our home office or interior ministry must expel such diplomats who go beyond their stated job.

Saudis are funding LeJ and TTP in addition to JUI and Jamat Islami but they are far more overt in Syria and I pray that before that day comes when they are openly hosting cannibals, rapists and butchers and justifying the fall of Pakistani state, our forces are able to cripple the back of LeJ and TTP. we cant stop Saudis unfortunately we got no say in the matter and they got their foot on over necks and what they are doing globally is like a religion for them, if they dont keep feeding these snakes and scorpions then these beasts will come back to the roost so its better that all the carnage and blood spilled from wahabi literature and oil money is well out side Suadi Arabia.

this issue bring us another point, are our security services and state institutions complicit in this wahabi funding of terror that has resulted in the death of over 50,000 people? I cant see them totally innocent.

the day all religious organisations are banned their assets seized and all religious and sectarian terrorists executed .. you will see that Saudis will stop funding a lost cause and look for other countries to continue their experiments.

Well said. The Saudis have been overtly active in Syria and Iraq while covertly funding TTP and LeJ in our backyard. That said, they are not just feeding the scorpions to keep them away, but rather keeping the scorpions happy and leveraging as and when needed to serve the big agenda. The goal is to salafize entire regions so as to establish salafi hegemony across the muslim world and beyond creating a greater salafi empire . Of course, as they discovered some of the snakes nurtured for external adventures turned on the regime.

The Saudis could not do anything if our security apparatus went after the local salafi-sponsored network with a wrecking ball.

Its time our security establishment takes steps to truly instill the fear of God in Saudi hearts. Any suggestions?

if we decide to finally bring all our misgivings in the open then we should be ready for two kinds of reprisals.

harassment and expulsion of ex-pat Pakistanis from the kingdom with their assets confiscated , beaten, humiliated and helpless just like they and their brother regimes in UAE have done to hundreds of thousands of Muslims of a "deviant sect".. these vacancies will be eagerly filled by Indians and Bangladeshis who will happily accept slaps and spit on their faces & will thank the Saudis for the honour. Saudis make such videos just to remind the people of sub continent where they place us in the social order.

Also we must be ready for difficulties, humiliations and harassments during Hajj times.. we will get the taster of what Iranians have been suffering (I am not making a moral debate of who is right or wrong because I know some arseholes will start spitting blood in this forum).

so what can we do? nothing much... apart from ranting. we can openly cooperate and form a union with Iranians but these Ayatullahs are unstable and volatile so we cant really bank on them either but in a way such alliance (even a bluff) can send shivers among the very paranoid regime.

for now just execute all taliban/ sectarian prisoners and treat them as enemy of state and who is in the state of war with Pakistan so the Chudray Iftikhar's ( pay he die a miserable death) judiciary cant touch them or save them

This stuff is already being worked between Pak-US-Saudi governments (without giving too much away)

Problem is now people carrying money bags from KSA to Pak all thanks to Pakistani Islamists and their sympathizers
