Saudi founded a lot of mosques in Belgium in the 1980's which preached wahabism. See what happened 30 years later.

they won't gain much followers here we are moderate sunni muslims we know how to balance religion and science education if anyone wants to fight he should join the military. our army and commandos are there to neutralize extremist threats

These will be government mosque with modern facilities including library and school. If we teach wahabism then its none of Saudi's fault.

Good Idea. But I think The 560 Upazilla Model Mosque is Idea of the Bangladeshi Govt. and KSA just agreed to Finance the Burden on request. Believe Me or not in Sheikh Hasina we are getting a new Erdogan. She has changed her course.

By the way Go to Villages and See for yourself. All the thatched village mosques are turning into Shining white Mosques by Arab funding. This is a new trend. The villagers just need to apply into rich Gulf countries for fund through their local expats.

Well could be. The OP does not have detailed information on it. If in case it is BD govt. initiative and they are appointing the Imams based on local regulations, then just money coming from KSA is okay. My whole point is KSA should not come anywhere near the operational activities of our mosques.

Personally, I prefer praying in a broken, run-down mosque with a stronger Imaan and knowledge of the religion rather than being an extremist in a shining one.

they target second third generation unemployed tunisian algerian arab immigrants who aren't integrated into belgian society for spreading their ideology. tunisians and algerians in mainland north africa remain mostly secular and moderate muslims

i don't know if any madrassas and mosques back home teach wahhabist ideology but if they do i am pretty sure government keeps close eye on them

this is state project (NOT PRIVATE) that the PM herself boasted in her public speech.... she said that she would build mosques and Islamic cultural centers in every Upaliza....

and after the crushing of the militants in recent times by the security forces and one of the very important intelligence officers being killed by the militants, is it right for us to assume that our intelligence is stupid enough to import trouble from aboard? (when the GoB repeatedly denied any existence of foreign militants in BD) ..... remember that even the slightest of smell of problem would be fetch a red flag from our intelligence...

where do you think the new GoB-approved certified Alems would get employed?.... any guess?

We do not have any shortage of Mosque in BD. It is the land of mosque.It would have been much useful if Saudi provided that money to establish 560 model hospital in BD.

It is ok for indian doing anything inside "Bangladesh" but help by Saudis for mosque is issue for indian and awami cheer leading band? I surely hate wahabi dictate but Mosque is different.
Its was Saudis who funded expansion of Baitul Mukkaram national mosque. BUT the rate awami league attacking, closing, obstructing and occupying mosques (in the form of appointing party hacks as Imama and in committee) in "Bangladesh", there definitely need for new ones where awami league thugs has not got their hand on.

This not a good will. You do not know . audi paid mullahs will propogate the ideology of wahabism in BD and will make your country a hell. Ask them to build even 10 hospitals and they will deny. I am sure. Be very very careful else ther consequences of this shall be danger for BD.
