Its disgusting that Saudis see themselves as the defender of Islam...post this in other relevant threads as well.

The problem in spreading Wahabism or any other type of Idelogy in a mosque DO NOT COME from the structure himsef...but from the preacher/Imams...

And THOSE preacher/Imams WILL BE from BD and put by BD governement...
So whatever happen there will be BD problems and Fault, in NOT regulating/chosing/banning those who preach those types of Ideologies...

As for Mosques Funded in EU and their Extremist view... ALL OF YOU have to understand that Imams ARE NOT TRAINED IN EU COUNTRIES! THey are being trained/educated in KSA/EGypt/Algeria/Morrocco/Turkey therefore few of them come back with A TYPE of preach.
and around 40-60% of Imams in EU are being BORROWED from those Muslim countries (meaning they ar enot EU citizens and do not speak the language of the country... that's why you get preach done by Imams who can't even align 2 foreign words during his preaching)

That's why some EU countries like France want to stop those foreign imams and stop their educations in muslim countries AND want to impose a full training from A to Z in France and done by French muslim scholars...

So if you get a spread of Wahabism in a country who IS A MUSLIM MAJORITY country, you have to understand that IT'S YOUR COUNTRY who allowed that to happen, for whatever reason it is ( Money/corruption/power etc...) by not IMPOSING their OWN IMAMS in those MOSQUES!

you're right about that.... its a Bangladesh state project... and the Imams would be local.... the Govt. has just formalized certificates for the Imams.... the certification is nicely aligned with the structures being planned.... there's a lot more to come than just mosques.... its the tip of the iceberg...

Saudis has special responsibility but they, more specifically the rulers misused their privilege and power in different places like Syria, Libya, Yemen and in Bahrain. BUT Bangladesh is not one of the place where such misuse occured. In fact Saudis helped a lot. If anything last 10 years Saudis suffered in Bangladesh.

1) india trained Awami league terror squad killed Saudi diplomat in Dhaka.
2) Awami league forcefully robbed largest bank in Bangladesh (Islami Bank Bangladesh) which Saudi company, IDB owned.
3) relation with Saudi arab suffered the worst under hindutva inspired awami league regime in Bangladesh.

Saudi Arabia has agreed to donate $118 million to set up 560 model mosques across Bangladesh, a media report said on Thursday.

The decision follows Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's last year vist to Saudi Arabia where she met King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, the Dhaka Tribune reported.


The mosques will be able to accommodate at least 450,000 men and over 30,000 women for daily prayers and will have lodging space for more than 2,000 foreign guests and libraries.

The Saudi government has also agreed to donate money to establish a permanent campus for the Islami Arabic University in Bangladesh.

hindus and non-believers are against any mosque, that is well known fact. But in a majorty Muslim place and growing population, there is always need for more mosque.

It will help facilitate the 160 million muslims in more Mosques, a place to stay indoors and out of trouble, a place to reflect etc. What the Saudis want to do is their choice as long as BD government has approved it.
