Except that those projects are nowhere near enough to the levels that were suggested. 10MW-500MW projects, these are nowhere near enough to cover even a nth amount of KSA's needs.
Hardly 1000MW, and it's taken them decades to even get to this point. After all that talk about having 10,000-50,000MWs by 2020, they've only covered around 1%.

The Saudis were suppose to invest over $100 billion in solar, but they've kept delaying it. I think they delayed it by 8-10 years, just last year.

Saudi Solar- What they are doing, are not doing, how does it effect you? They are working on nuclear as well, maybe solar is NOT their priority. Problem is not money its the socio economic system which is now being hit .Regarding Taxes there is goinf to be VAT Very soon probably 2017 ,point remains Will Saudi Arabia has certain means to diversify its economy .I leave it to experts as this is a big question its not going to happen over a night you need people/expertise/professionals so its quite complicated .In short run this measure will work hoepfully
