In 2008 Reporters Without Borders ranked Saudi Arabia 161st out of 173 countries for freedom of the press.

Saudi and foreign newspapers and magazines, including advertising, are strictly controlled by censorship officials to remove content that is offensive. Newspapers and magazines must not offend or criticize the Wahabi Muslims and especially The Royal family, Wahabi government officials or government version of Islamic morality.

Censorship of foreign newspapers and magazines tends to focus on content of sexual nature. Nudity and pornography are illegal in the kingdom and this can extend to inking out public displays or affection like hugging and kissing, the uncovered arms and legs of women and men or anything deemed to be promoting "sexual immorality", such as adultery, fornication, sodomy or homosexuality. Even advertising for driving classes for women is banned, in keep with the ban in the kingdom.

In 1994, all Saudi women magazines were banned by the Ministry of Information. This move was considered to be related to the pressures of the religious establishment or ulema. After this ban, nineteen of twenty-four magazines closed down since their major revenue was advertisement earnings paid by the Saudi companies.

I agree with censorship, we are God's slaves we are against immorality, God prescribed us marriage. But, sadly almost our whole nation is in a mess, God surely is mad at us and our men aren't what they used to be, a good portion of them aren't good to their wives anymore. :(

I agree with some parts of the second paragraph.

Lol you can't hug your wife in public in Saudi Arabia, that is sad.

Lol you can't hug your wife in public, still stuck in the stone age. :butcher::mamba:

Is that how you define and judge societies?

Once again Farsi, you're wrong:

However, here it all depends on what kind of a social code of conduct a given person adopts here. Unlike your kin, people believe in privacy here. Most of the people here don't wanna see themselves in a situation where everybody can ride the opposite sex. After all, we don't live in the world's biggest house of Mut'ah   :D  :omghaha:

Saudi society is FUBAR, this is undeniable. Many kids are turning gay and it produces a lot of pedophiles, percentage of children being raped is high as well shown by a study, can get you the vid.

Their system does not work.

I don't think you're qualified enough to determine which is functional and what is not. Producing these kind of judgments require aplenty of academic sociological coursework, extensive researches, and professional cultural comparative studies. Every single society has its own social structure, culture, habits, customs, norms, code of conduct, perceptions, and lastly moral value.

Many kids are turning gay and it produces a lot of pedophiles

May I see any official statistics where you could back up your claim with?

In Iraq, for example, more than 802 gays have been killed without them being offered a help by their people or their Gov't. I understand that homosexuality takes place every where, but killing gays, men, women, and children isn't the answer to solve social illnesses.

Study shown in videos? Wow, I'm guessing you're referring to Al-Hurra's interview with a post-grad students? For the record, I've seen this video, and I saw the part when she confused females' schools with males' universities. However, what we don't seem to know is that where did she get these so called figured from?

Their system does not work.

Sure. Only killing 200 allegedly being accused for being gay men is what works. I think we should all adopt Iraq's war ongays' strategies. Or maybe we could leave these " gays " to the citizens to punish them!

The land of anarchists.
