Yes I was expecting that. Of course it will have all the rights since it own the project and it is paying the money and other companies are working for it. Rockwell is basically selling its system which is commercially available and used in King Airs. By the way, even the name of the company Calidus is not local ... sounds very European.

We all know that most UAE weapon systems are Joint ventures with European, American or other partners.. but to say that Calidus has only a financial role is to deny the capacities of the UAE military industrial complex..
When one wants to commercialise its products worldwide..he chooses an attractive name to all audiences.. it is a smart marketing principle..

No... 100% of R&D and prototyping were made with foreign entities...
Calidus is just the Legal owner of such system and manufacturer... on UAE soil...
It happen before with NIMR lines... or Caracal rifles or Rabtan (Otokar arma) or the few missiles she own etc...
UAE has no enought R&D to Plan/Design/manufacture such equipement in JVs... only in end point contractor/owner...

Per exemple KSA, as little they are in the field, are light ahead in matter of R&D and appliying it than UAE...
UAE is a buyer (legal property owner) and an End point Manufacturer... (90% of the time)

Is it a bad thing? No, many have started that way...
But to say that Calidus did "help" to design or anything...is also false.

Attractive name may be but it should represent its origin / culture.... why do korean companies choose local names like Samsung, KIA, Hyundai...Chinese: Huawei, Beidou, Geeli etc, Japanese: Toyota, Yamaha, Honda etc... Products do not sell because of attractive name of the company rather it is the product itself that makes the brand name. Just my take on this..

bro..you are talking to someone who did Multi-project management for a long time..on many different project management platforms like MS Project and much more sophisticated software..

No bro..marketing is a vital part of Business administration and is a very advanced field now a day.. I still remember some German or European name for a product that was a native attractive name..but in some other places it meant Di**.... So one has to be careful with names..mostly when dealing on an international level.. If you look at most of UAE's international companies' names..you will certainly see that they have Arabic names in general..
