waz yaar he is right Saudi are not even in this listing ...why so much media campaign
Bro I went through this earlier on the thread, but just in case you missed it I'll run through it again. The GCC countries have a core vote and in all issues.
Here it is;
Although the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) is a full Member of the FATF, the individual Member countries of the GCC (of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar,
Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates) are not. As an FATF Member, the GCC is committed to implementing the anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CFT) measures agreed to by the FATF Members - in particular, the
FATF Recommendations.

The recommendation was that Pakistan be looked at to be put on the grey list. There were three objections, one of which was from the GCC countries. Now the Saudis come into this because the GCC delegation was made up in a large part by Saudi negotiators, who are the most experienced in such matters mainly due to the fact that they have years of experience at it. The rest of the GCC countries are pretty much new fry to all this.
At the second vote after a little talk by the American delegation the GCC countries dropped their objecting vote. There was no visible sign of coercion and it can be described as a friendly chat. This is exactly what has been reported by Pakistan's own representative i.e. Dr Miftah Ismail, the team with him also reported the same.
Even if he is lying the silence from the GCC countries since the vote speaks volumes. The Chinese ambassador to Pakistan was asked today what happened and he looked very embarrassed, you can see the video for yourself. He called the issue "complex". The Chinese stayed with Pakistan, and I believe this "complex" element he is referring to is the fact the vote collapsed with the withdrawal of the GCC vote.
All in all bro Pakistanis just need each other and be sincere and strong. I said it earlier just take a step back and build quietly. On another issue Turkey should truly be commended for standing by Pakistan through thick and thin, by God these guys are true brothers.
