Chinese-Dragon nailed it well. Most of these things are being discussed in the utter side of darkness, under the table.

That's right.

It's hardly a secret though, more of an "open secret" that pretty much everyone knows.

Hell, it's even on the Wikipedia page, that's how much of a "secret" it really is.

China needs more influence with the power centers in the world, and for that we need to offer what others won't. Usually we offer business + money, but Saudi doesn't need money, so we cooperate in pretty much every other area instead.
