Salman Taseer's Daughter Speaks Out.

I heard the girl on the TV show appended.

Fantastic.

Very articulate, very honest and it was in a marvellously matured manner she handled the questions, including the real tricky ones, inspite of her grief.

She will be a great leader one day.

great leader of what? her school netball team?

Shehrbano Taseer, speaking on the Express 24/7 show “Faceoff with Munizae Jehangir”, which aired on Friday, said that everyone is collectively to be blamed for the assassinations of Governor Punjab Salmaan Taseer and Federal Minister for Minority Affairs Shahbaz Bhatti.

She said that if it was not for the current government or the previous government appeasing terrorists, then these incidents would not have taken place.
Taseer said the rallies that took place after her father’s death made her see the ugly face of extremism in the country however the people who held those demonstrations were not a majority. “They are certainly loud, well armed and well funded but they are not a majority,” she said.

The late governor’s daughter said that she felt the media was also responsible for Salmaan Taseer’s assassination because it acted irresponsibly. She said the media gave undue space to “hot-headed right wingers, screaming bloody murder,” instead of starting a debate on the blasphemy laws.

“In a country that calls itself a democracy, the frontiers of expression have shrunk,” said Taseer commenting on the murders of the Punjab governor and the minister for minority affairs.

Taseer said that certain people have made her father out to be an evil man, but they cannot shame him; “he was a great man,” she said.
She said that she does not live in fear because that is what the terrorists capitalise on. “I am not going to give my county to them on a silver platter,” said Taseer.

Taseer informed that her family had received several threatening letter after her father’s assassination and despite requests from friends to them urging them to leave the country, Taseer said “we are Pakistanis; we will build our lives in Pakistan; we will live to better the lives of Pakistanis. We will not go anywhere.”

Taseer said she sees “unwavering hope in Pakistan,” and if everyone was to work for a better Pakistan, they would not see the fruits of it tomorrow, but they will in the next 20 years or so.

She said that her Pakistan “is a progressive Pakistan” and it will move forward.

PPP and its followers have no right to use Islam to justify their political domination in this country. They are only using some context of Quran to suite their own goals and burnt rest of the Quran which exposes them.

For BB lovers.

Prophet Mohammed PBUH: “People who appoint (Wallaow) a women as their leader will never succeed.”

Actually if you were the one left to describe Islam to anyone they would get the impression its a religion of made psychopaths. I would take Zardari over terrorist nutjobs explaining Islam and there isn't much I'd take Zardari over.

I don't know if its lack of intellect, lack of comprehension, lack of socializing with the rest of the world that compels people like you to believe that Taseer said anything wrong, like he said anything against the religion. He spoke against a law of the country, laws of the country should have nothing to do with any religion, including Islam.

Blasphemy laws will be kicked out of Pakistan no two ways around it!

Taseer is history now and this cheap media gangster should leave their family alone. Not a good thing to bring the dead back from it's grave.

On the contrary, the horrible face of the Pakistani nation that was seen when those lawyers showered him with rose petals and kissed him in appreciation for a heinous crime has to be shown again and again and again, till the realization dawns upon us that this ghalazat is what, we're heading for. This monstrosity, is something we are associating with ourselves with pride.

Ofcourse the gunman committed a crime and did nothing Islamically infact defamed Islam.

Prophet Mohammed PBUH said :“If anybody sees in his Ameer something which displeases him, he
should remain patient, for he who separates himself from the
authority of Islam (Sultan) by even so much as a hand span and
dies thereupon, he would die the death of the days of ignorance.”

Why should Islam be used in all of your discussions, perhaps you should reconstruct your own understanding of religion.

Do not counter me with more religious saying or verses.

The thing about religion is that it requires a higher level of understanding rather than superficial depth that some groups seem to have.

Your first quote has a completely different meaning than what you have conjured up.

As for the second one, debatable on its authencity, but I want to know what do you think a women's role is in the modern world.

Do you even know how Pakistani media journalism works? They let them prepare with the questions they are going to ask and its obvious someone else has done the homework for her. A party girl like her knows nothing about Pakistan like Bilawal amateur politician.

I saw her on NDTv or Headlines Today

She is very beautiful
I dont knw wht she said I was just looking on her face

. .
Can we cut out the remarks about how cute she is and talk about the subject matter at hand?

Sure - she comes across like many ivory tower Pakistanis I met in my uni days in the US - typically go to the American School in Lahore or Islamabad, staunchly secular, well spoken, articulate and representing about 0.00001% of the Pakistani population. And yet they still end up being "elected" in Pakistan. Truly Pakistan must be the only democracy where the elected representatives are so cut off from their own populations.

Definately not 0.00001%, there is many of them in the upper class areas of Pakistan which have only extended continuously throughout the last few decades.

You only see people like this all around shopping malls, cafes and trendy areas of Karachi, Isloo and Lahore.

The problem occurs in the disparity and the differences, sometimes, well most times, the rich have bettered their situation at the expense of others.

@ your bold part clearly portrays yourself.
In which part of my post does it say I support blasphemy Laws?
You have resorted to accusing others because you have no arguments, but anyways Your team is doing a good job of exposing your own secular agenda who have divorced from Islam.

.
Very right sir that's the agenda they follow u should see him support the ahmedis you will be amused I must tell you

.
What's the punishment of blasphemy in bible why do ppl kill abortionists in America ? Few questions you need to ask yourselves And in the end what's the stance of pro life Christians in usa and what's the core of their argument ?

So Ahmedis are Pakistanis and human beings, they deserve my support and they deserve your support from the evil of persecution. You have to make a choice, will Pakistan treat all its citizens equally or persecute them for just saying they are from an xyz religion.

Secularism is a separation of religion and state. It is not divorcing the religion. Again you will have to point out why the misdirection, you don't know anything about me, my religion, and how religious I am. You both should worry about your own grave, not mine.
