This seems more like the J-19 than the J-16. The J-16 isn't a 5th generation fighter.

The vertical stabilizers are too small if they are not all moving.

SAC is the laugh stock in China since it copied the SU-27.Pepole wont feel surprised if it will roll out a T-50 like 5th generation fighter/bomber in the coming years.Chinese fans already consider this SAC J-XX a FLANKER variant.Lol.

If it is SAC's 5th generation fighter, then it is the J-19, not the J-16.

Nothing wrong on basing new War planes on proven frames(yes air frames,as engine, radar,electronic, Low RCS technics are all chines)

Edit: if China had the oportunity to base its fighters on F-15 frames you can bet your life that they would.. no reason to use Russian tech when you have better...
