Sabarimala: The Indian god who bars women from his temple

Rights of the deity? Lol.
Of course religious rights which infringe on fundamental rights should be discarded. Next you will tell me about a deity who is forbidden from seeing people of a particular caste.
I don't expect random internet dummies to know Indian laws. Yes, diety have rights and is a perpetual minor.

Fundamental rights include the right to practice any faith. Temple is not a public property it's a private property owned by Hindu board. So, the rules can be made as required by the group.
Is there a deity who forbids seeing particular caste, then you have a point. I'm not gonna play more what if's.

LOL - I don't expect random Internet buffoons to understand the concept that fundamental rights trump all other rights.
Of course you are not going to look at it rationally. Forbidding a particular caste is not dissimilar to forbidding a particular gender. But then again, if you had an iota of sense, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

.
Just a simple question - are athiests, chirstians and muslim genuine devotees or 15 minutes of fame seekers?

India is 80% Hindus. why aren't hundreds or thousands of women making the trek?

Or do you consider the temple as a picnic spot?

I am aking you and @SirHatesALot logical questions. Give me logical answers no rhetoric
Listen dear,,dont know what the fuss is about n i didnt read all posts.
But know the crux,,,,hindus r mostly not kattar.so it is actually parampara vs modern values.
N modern values win most of the times.
If women really care they will not come thmselves,,,,,just like muslim women wearing ninja clothes,as per Pakistani tinkers every muslim gal shud be in tht attire but we dont see tht do we,,,,,so do we really need that kind of stringent rukes now after the court rulling.
As a ppl n as a species we have to evolve culturally n socially too.
Evolve not regress

That will be difficult in the case of most Muslims as Islam is a strict religion which cannot tolerate apostasy. A true Muslim is 100% adherent of Sunni Islam and keenly follows their scholars. His views are formed as per Koran, Islamic Aalims. Not neutral studies of religions from non-Islamic or non-biased sources. You have to question the holy books, what these popular Ustad's and Aalim's (Zakir, Ahmed Deedat etc) teaches and portrays Jews, Hindus, Christians and others. This superiority complexes all will melt away and Emaan will become 1/4th when realism kicks in.
Lol u r asking him for apostasy.
Slowly like ambedkar i too am starting to belive that a true believer of islam cannot be changed.he is at content with his knowledge n full of himself

Listen please read the whole context before replying.

I am not asking Hindus to be kattar. All I am asking is that are Muslims, Christians and Athiests really genuine devotess of Ayappa? Nothing more nothing less.

All the 3 women are 15 minutes of fame activists. If you still cant get it I will give one more evidence. Rehan Fathima - of the kiss of love fame, wanted to throw a used sanitary pad at the deity.

I dont think either of them did a 41 day penance

Now tell me are they genuine devotees?

BTW if you are an athiest and dont like traditions - good for you. but dont say that none of the other 1.3 billion people should drop their traditons

.
Says someone from a religion where women either arent allowed to go to mosque and if they are then cant pray in there even though they can in kabba
What are you talking about, I am a Muslim woman and I can go to any mosque at any time. Advice for future, learn some facts or you look silly.

The moment you questioned the authority of the deity, made you look like a dumbo. So, save me your whining. Because all you know is to rant about something without any knowledge of facts or law of the land.

Who forbids a particular gender. There are millions of females who go to Sabarimala. Just not in the age group. If you think all these are an issue of fundamental rights, then let's apply it across everything. Right to sit in ladies seat (in buses) is a fundamental right, giving gender specific seats are a gender discrimination. Or let there be no caste-based reservation, again it is a caste-based discrimination only that higher castes are on the receiving end.

Are you going to look at it rationally? Why not make female Imams, Temple priests, Sisters to lead prayer in Christian churches, all these comes under direct discrimination of fundamental rights.

The moment you decide not to question - made you look like the buffoon you are. You don't know anything.

No, you buffoon. Seats within a bus or train are reserved. You are reserving a conduit of transport, not a freaking destination. But you need a little common sense to realize the obvious difference.

I am all for Christian priests and female Imams leading prayer. We all know the rot that is the Catholic Church - filled with pedophiles and abusers. Are you living under a rock?

Judaism is one of the oldest religions in the world. They formally allowed female Rabbis sometime in the 1970s.

So move with the times. But given your abject stupidity and ignorance, you will not.

Says the dummy who is still not aware Deity is a legal citizen with rights. Read it yet?

Lol! so a public place can discriminate based on gender. While a private place cannot? No matter how small it is, it is a violation. I'm not against it, just that you bragging about Funda rights while it's clearly violated in most places. Not everything can be viewed as black and white.

By the way, how about Caste based reservation? Isn't it a caste-based discrimination? I guess you missed that.:D
Now don't tell me you are all ready for equal rights for all castes. Jog on.

I am all for Christian priests and female Imams leading prayer. We all know the rot that is the Catholic Church - filled with pedophiles and abusers. Are you living under a rock?
Yeah? I'm not interested in blanket statements, we know that's not going to happen. So, save it.

Judaism is one of the oldest religions in the world. They formally allowed female Rabbis sometime in the 1970s.

And where does this stop? Stop worshipping Shiva but Ardhanari (equality). Some practices are kept alone the way it is. It doesn't hurt anyone.

Hahhahaha. When exactly did I state that a deity has no rights? I laughed at your absurd insinuation that religious rights can trump fundamental rights. But then again, from a buffoon I can't expect anything else. Tsk Tsk.

Again, when did I state that a public place can discriminate based on gender? Looks like your grasp of English is as pathetic as your grasp of the Constitution. Again, now a surprise.

Yea, I am against caste based reservations. I am all for giving tax break to employers who employ people with BPL status irrespective of the caste. Again, I don't expect you to understand any of this. But hey - what's the harm in trying?

A duffer with no understanding of either India or Hinduism is just going to continue making a fool of himself. Come on. Let's here some more.

Rights of the deity do matter. That's why some temples do not allow non-Hindus to enter temple. Isn't it a violation of fundamental right? It looks like what matters for you is only fundamental rights, individual rights do not matter.

Looks like you didn't say anything that matter. Only some hoopla about Hindu places of worship.

Right. Fundamental rights. So menstruating women entering a remote temple is the priority of Indians rather than removing the basic fundamental rights violation that happens on a day to day basis.

Puri Jagannath temple allows only Indian origin and indian religion followers ...... including Hindu,Sikh,Jain, Buddhist only...

Lol. Fundamental rights can also be individual rights. In fact, in most cases they are.

But again, I realize this is too complicated for a duffer.
