What's new

Rustom armed with HeliNa

These two images do not add up. And both of them are talking about Helina.

Chanakya's post is of older pictures of Helina. Where it's being thrusted out with four exhausts, like with the ground version, NAG.

The one I posted is of it being thrusted out with single exhaust only. That's the latest.

In short you are trying to say that India also 'copied it' from another sys. ..... I like the 'originality' in your post ....
thanks, but you misunderstand my post. Light Canard Research Aircraft (LCRA) is indian by design and development. rustom us just a unnamed plane based on the manned plane india once developed.

Now HC rulings are coming that being a maoist is not a crime.
Perhaps that may change in future. But using a HELINA on them will be a disaster you cant cover that.

that is HC of kerala, they don't have any authority over other states.
use of HELINA will be very effective in anti-maoist operations. helina don't have any devastating firepower. but what makes it an effective one is its accuracy.

You dont know bad taliban are not Pakistani citizen.

ooh sorry, i forgot that, bad taliban are RAW agents:P... only good taliban are pakistani:D

You are underestimating our media ..They will manage to get video clip and Arnab Goswami will have big debate that night.
only good thing with our media is that they support serious operations and use of firepower against terrorists than our politicians.

GOI should use everything at their disposal to destroy maoists, if they need to use UCAV then so be it. The army should be pressed into anti-maoists operations.

Paramilitary should be modernized and let them to handle the internal security.

Indian Military should defend international borders and keep the external enemies checked.

Those who think that GOI would order to use UCAVs on Naxals and terrorists of North East are delusional of first order.

The only place for UCAV is in Kashmir.

UAV was sent from Hyderabad to Sukma in January 2015. I think Chattisgarh police will get drones and CRPF is going to get UAV and already drones are being used by Uttar Pradesh Police and even to protect animals by forest department.

Bhai Read my post again

I know about UAV being use by even state Police but not UCAV armed with Missiles.

Nothing, no development. Only hope is Israel, If India want to equip Rustom-1 with SAR pod, and that is important for recce.

Otherwise, miniaturize version of C-Band SAR used in RISAT-1 definitely go in Rustom-H.

Already 2 Israeli Heron has been crashed and each cost 80 crores.

Any idea how much Rustom I and Rustom II costs ?

He was referring to the Israeli multi-mode X-band SAR for India's Rustom-I as the development of an indigenous one isn't in sight as of now.

Any idea how much Rustom I and Rustom II costs ?

The cost of each Rustom-2 would be around $5.83 million.

We are informed that Manipur now has a new governor, Dr.Syed Ahmed. But, days before he was sworn in, the main link of Manipur to the rest of the country, NH 37, was blocked following protests against the killing of two labourers by the Kuki Revolutionary Front (KRF), one of dozens of militant groups operating in the state. That was followed by a 24-hour general strike. The blocked highway meant that fuel prices shot through the roof; a litre of petrol was Rs.120, an LPG cylinder sold for Rs.1,600 in the black. For people in Manipur, such blockades are now a fact of life but for the media in the rest of India, this was not a story worth reporting in any detail.

I am sure, taking an off the shelf platform and call it rustam, how convenient.

google "LRCA "

LRCA googling will fetch only Little Rock Christian Academy, .........they havent yet started making drones.

You must be talking about NAL's LCRA or simply Light Canard Research Aircraft .

NAL is National Aerospace lab and Rustom was the name of the scientist Rustom Damania, a former professor of IISc, Bangalore.
