What's new

Rustom armed with HeliNa

Remind me again, If it werent for Mirages and PGM's and Artillery, Would IA have had taken the peaks of kargil ?

It's not about blind faith. It's about your utter ignorance about the terrain PA is been fighting.
Yeah great Kargil like terrain, still tanks are rolling.You have Tiger Hill too in Waziristan?

BTW, how it feels in invading your own country, and be proud on it? Must be good?

who would have know about it? we are already using UAVs in that area. it a remote place, there is not even a proper mortor way. no one will know if we use these drones in that dense jungles.
You are underestimating our media ..They will manage to get video clip and Arnab Goswami will have big debate that night.

@Dazzler

You already embarrassed yourself enough in that T90 thread by Indians and @ptldM3 now What are you claiming now ..... That Burraq is indigenous too or is it CH 3 ?

Really? Read the thread from 1st page and answer my question first. You simply ran away yar :rofl:

if there weren't any soldiers in india then kargil will be a part of Pakistan by now:partay::partay:
in kargil war we were fighting a foreign force who had illigaly intruded into india. but it is not the case in pakistan, you were fighting your own fellow misguided pakistanis.

.
You dont know bad taliban are not Pakistani citizen.

You have to remember that we were fighting foreign forces aka Pakistan army who infiltrated in the name of mujahedin so we reacted swiftly and launched operation to clean up the area. We were not killing our own people in the name of operation but killing our enemy with whatever we had in our arsenal. So your comparison to Zarb-e-Azb with kargil OP is futile.

We are countering maoists with state police forces and central paramilitary forces and also we are helping those people who left maoism and wants to join mainstay and we are getting success as many cadres giving up their guns.

God forbid if India had deployed Army to fight maoists we would have been in a civil war now.

Just get the equivalent of a cag to an audit of the super duper mbt 2000 and you will get your answer - it really is embarrassing, the fact that you take a chinese tank copied from a 50-year old Russian tank, with a Ukrainian engine that catches fire, and both claim it to be your "development" and to be superior to the latest Russian tank.

But hardly surprising, considering the hilarious responses to this thread - comparing the rustom designed years before the pakistani "borrowed" from a chinese design itself "borrowed"

if anything would be the other way round but then the burraq" or whatever you call the Chinese junk might have been halfway decent.

O bhai, your thick skull stillnot bale to understand the the contribution of BEL and OFB.

o genius, neither your BEL nor OFB nor ARDE nor XYZ industry has CONTRIBUTED anything to t-90. All they have done, is to take tjhe skill from Russians, and make them under license. This is NOT called contribution, rather license manufacturing. Russians have refused to provide technological know how on many technologies related TO T-90 INCLUDING gun, ammo, FCS and others which india CANNOT make on its own.

@Jango , @Manticore

please shift these posts to this thread to keep this one relevant to Rustam

T90 is inferior to Al-Khalid so it's claimed. | Page 17

Thanks

'nope, thats called hard work with dedication and honesty. Being unable to make an mbt for freaking 35+ years, with huge cost overruns and severe quality issues, despite 70% parts being imported from around the world yet refused by own army is called embarrassment.

Point out the post where i claimed that T 90 was developed jointly and that brings me to the question relevant to this thread.

Why do you call Chinese Drone as Burraq and claim it Indigenous,and where is my link of your indigenous Mop Engine ?

And tell you what, they tested already the SAR pod from Rustom, but they never reveal in public. Because that is much more secret project.

DRDO LRDE developed Ku-band synthetic aperture radar (SAR) is too bulky and heavy to be tested on board Rustom I - it occupies twice as much space volume as that of the in-service EL/M-2055D SAR's delivered by IAI to India. Rustom I has a maximum payload capacity of 75 kg only whereas the indigenous SAR weighs as heavy as 80 kg - though it is primarily meant for Rustom II which can very well carry it on-board.

About HeliNa - HELINA is a third generation fire-and-forget anti-tank missile with top attack capability. The missile can strike its targets up to 4-7km and DRDO is also working on extended variant which will have capabilities to hit targets up to 20 km and can be used from Fighter jets.

Yes, thats why I was saying I would be much more happy, if DRDO tested X-band SAR.

Sorry - I missed the "X' - whenever anyone mentions SAR - only Ku comes to my mind - thanks to ISRO! :p:
BTW any link concerning the development status of X-band SAR by LRDE?

One thing 75 kg payload is for best performance, the Rustom easily can fly with payload of 80 kg. And one more thing, what I meant with already tested was with ELM-2055D.

You reading too much PKS. :P

as suspected, you dont know the meaning of contribution. Thats why it is better not to boast on things you have no idea about. I am sparing you for now. Carry on with your fun and if your quoted me again, your stay on this forum will be in jeopardy.
