MOSCOW, August 23. /TASS/. The Project 22350 first serial-produced frigate Admiral Kasatonov armed with Kalibr cruise missiles has entered the final stage of shipbuilders’ trials, the Severnaya Shipyard reported on Friday.

"The shipbuilders’ and the subsequent state trials will last through December. Following the results of the trials and the conclusions by the state commission, Navy Commander-in-Chief Admiral Nikolai Yevmenov will make a decision on accepting the warship for service in the Northern Fleet," the press office said in a statement.

The frigate’s crew and the delivery team will check the operation of all the shipboard systems, mechanisms, equipment and weapon systems," the statement says.

The frigate displaces 5,000 tonnes and is 135 meters long. It carries the Kalibr cruise missile system as its main armament. Earlier, the Project 22350 lead frigate Admiral Gorshkov entered service with the Russian Navy.

Project 22350 frigates are expected to become the Russian Navy’s most advanced warships in their class. These frigates can develop a speed of 29 knots. They are armed with Oniks and Kalibr missiles and the Poliment-Redut air defense missile systems.

This shows the current stat of weeks economy not developing any big ship like aircraft carrier/destroyers/battleships @Austin Powers

. .
Small is better. These battleships are armed wtih Kalibur cruise missiles that can hit anywhere in Syria from the Med.
These are Just frigates not Battleship as you write on your heading, and Frigate carry less weapons/defense equipment then Destroyer and Battleship @Austin Powers
And this is Real Battleship of Russian Navy with huge weapon payload @Austin Powers

Bigger ships more carbon dioxide. Smaller ships is more environmental. Russia won't build bigger ships than frigates. Russia navy has Su-30SM combat jets. Bigger and more capable than carrier planes. There are shit ton of islands in the ocean to build NAB naval air base.

:lol::lol: why you concern about CO2 emission, you're fan of the CO2 emission don't you:enjoy:, and there are tech only the ship CO2 scrubber/eliminator in on every modern ships, and Su-30 have a of payload only 8000 kg but these ships has massive firepower then compare to Su-30 shit, and Russia don't any money to build naval base on any these of Ocean islands, even USA have very few Naval bases on Islands in Oceans @Austin Powers

Russia has air base at Jableh. It practically controls thousands of km in radius from Jableh.

. .
So what, you're talking about island you twit don't you, similar USA have lots bases in Bahrain, Japan, UK , Spain etc etc within the coast of these countries @Austin Powers

The ocean has thousand of teeny tiny islands. Don't need aircraft carriers. Naval air bases are sufficient. In WW2 most of the time carrier planes like Zero and F4U were operated on islands, not on aircraft carriers.

Why you're so stupid, If building of a base is that easy then why Russia/USA doesn't have these bases especially on tiny islands because they have expensive to operate hard to maintain (logistic/Supplies) @Austin Powers :p:;):enjoy::azn:

Russia is one of the largest fossil fuel seller. None of their engines or machines are known for efficiency and environment friendliness like Western countries.

They're building small ships because they can't afford! Not because they care about environment...
