President of Russia Vladimir Putin: Tragic news has arrived from Turkey, where Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrei Karlov was brutally murdered.

First of all, I would like to express my deepest condolences to the family and friends of our departed colleague.

I ask the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to award Mr Karlov a state decoration posthumously and to make proposals on how best to honour his memory. He died in the line of duty.

This was an outstanding diplomat who was highly regarded in Turkey and had very good relations with Turkish top officials and other political forces, who respected him.

Mr Karlov was a very intelligent, gentle and kind man. I knew him personally. During my last trip in Turkey this autumn he was constantly by my side.

This crime is undeniably a provocation aimed at derailing the normalisation of Russian-Turkish relations and the peace process in Syria, which is actively promoted by Russia, Turkey, Iran and other countries interested in the settlement of the internal conflict in Syria.

There can be only one response – stepping up the fight against terrorism – which the criminals will find out firsthand.

Russia’s Investigative Committee has already opened a case on the murder, and has been tasked with forming a working group which will promptly leave for Ankara to take part in the investigation of this crime together with Turkish partners. This was just agreed during a telephone conversation with the President of Turkey. We must find out who directed the killer’s hand.

Security must be tightened at Turkish diplomatic missions in Russia, the embassy, and other missions, and the Turkish side should provide assurances on security at Russian diplomatic offices in accordance with Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.

I also ask you to introduce coordinated proposals on tightening security measures at Russian diplomatic missions abroad.

According to NATO charter , attacking one NATO member states is like attacking all NATO member states . Turkey is defending EU nations and even seeing racial and religious discrimination.

United States is having hard time not because of Turkey being in NATO alliance but because of the wrong policies adopted by many EU member states.

United States is having more good relations with Japan, South Korea, GCC, Turkey and Republic of India.

EU member states wants to be white nations but the reality is visible during the Ukraine war.

Same technique

As Many said, this is a standard shooter technique for holding a pistol with both hand, basically anyone with a slight firearm training will hold a pistol like that. Anyone from Law Enforcement, Police, Security Guard to Sport Shooter.

On the other hand, SF trained or Intelligence agent don't teach that, almost all SF are taught with holding a pistol with one hand (So the other hand is free to do other stuff you need) and hold it close to your body and NOT TO EXTEND YOUR ARMS. But I laugh so hard on the US, CIA conspiracy theory. If this is a Turkish or American function, the CIA or US angle would make sense, this is very apprent a Russian function (with Russian Ambassador attending) the security will be lay down by RUSSIAN, not American or Turkish. Either the American are that mighty and can go in and out and shoot the ambassador (which usually have Tier 1 security detail), or the Russian detail is that stupid that can allow this to happen.

Russia has alarmed NATO by equipping its Baltic fleet with nuclear-capable missiles and stepping up Cold War-style aerial incursions to probe Western air defenses. In October, it demonstratively sent its sole aircraft carrier close to Europe's shores on its way to Syria.

Russian Ambassador Alexander Grushko gave a detailed briefing on Russian military exercises involving around 120,000 personnel in recent months, NATO diplomats said.

There was also discussion in Brussels of the tactics being used by Russian pilots, which NATO says are unsafe. These include flying barrel rolls over Western aircraft, not sharing flight plans, and flying without the transponders that allow jets to be identified by ground radar.

NATO members would not recognize Russia's annexation of Crimea from Ukraine in 2014, and that the alliance remained deeply concerned about eastern Ukraine, partly controlled since 2014 by rebels whom NATO accuses Moscow of financing.
