Russia-Ukraine War - News and Developments PART 2

Footage of a Russian Iskander-M ballistic missile striking a Ukrainian Buk-M1 air defense system. The video was filmed near the village of Tokari, Sumy region of Ukraine. The Buk-M1 air defense system, together with a pickup truck, was moving to a camouflaged position in a forest belt.

The Buk-M1 air defense system was adopted by the USSR in 1983. As of 2024, Ukraine had about 50 Buk-M1 air defense systems, and there may have been supplies from other countries.

A Russian drone tracked the entire route of the Buk-M1 air defense system. After that, the air defense was hit by an Iskander-M missile with a high-explosive fragmentation warhead. The Iskander missile exploded nearby, presumably damaging the Buk-M1 air defense system.

This "release the Leopards" is political. This is about blaming Germany for the loss of Ukraine in the planned Russian offensive.

Artillery is more versatile than tanks. Tanks are limiting. Give Ukraine thousands of artillery howitzers + 100s of HIMARS + ATACMS, this would kill more Russians and destroy more Russian equipment than giving Ukraine simply more tanks with Ukrainian present military. If Ukraine had the capability to breakthrough the lines, then tanks are useful. Do Russian infantry have shoulder fired weapons on the frontlines to destroy Leopards, I would take a guess and say "yes".
Called it. US was looking for a nation to blame for the loss of Ukrainian territory. It was hoping Germany would release the Leopards, so then the cia shills couldn't blame Germany. In other posts I suggested that Germany should release the Leopards so to silence the idiots demanding it and thus proving releasing the Leopards was pointless and a psy-op.

You know where Russia wants Europe to put 100% of their military budget in - tanks. So Russia enjoyed the cia psy-op too.

An episode of combat work of the Ukrainian IRIS-T SLM air defense system. The IRIS-T SLM medium-range air defense system has been produced in Germany since 2014. The video shows the interception of a Russian Kh-101 cruise missile using the IRIS-T SLM air defense system. The video was filmed in Ukraine, the specific location of the shooting is not reported.

Rare footage of Russian drones "Forpost-RU" and "Orion" working together in Ukraine. Technical information about them is in the links to the video in the comments to the video. The video was filmed near the village of Grunovka, Sumy region of Ukraine, on the border with the Kursk region of Russia. In the first part of the video, the drone "Forpost-RU" with the help of a guided bomb KAB-20S destroys a pontoon crossing over the Psel River. Later, a Ukrainian truck "MAN" appears in this area, carrying a tank on a lowboy. The Russian drone "Orion" attacks it with the help of an "X-UAV" missile. Judging by the video, both drones worked accurately on the targets.

Rare close-up footage of a Russian FAB-3000 bomb hitting the Kursk region of Russia. The video was filmed by a Ukrainian drone. The FAB-3000 bomb was dropped by a Russian Su-34 aircraft at a temporary deployment point of the Ukrainian army in one of the villages. The size of the bomb and the installed UMPK module are clearly visible. Technical information about the FAB-3000 bomb is in the link to the video in the comments to the video.

Russian units using FPV drones "VT-40" showed the pursuit and attack of a drone on the Ukrainian self-propelled howitzer "Caesar". The video was filmed on the Rodinskoye-Pokrovsk highway in Donbass. The self-propelled howitzer "Caesar" came close to the front line and was immediately detected. The 155-mm wheeled self-propelled howitzer "Caesar" has been produced in France by Nexter since 2002. The firing range of the self-propelled howitzer is up to 55 km. As a result of the attack by the Russian FPV drone, the Ukrainian self-propelled howitzer "Caesar" was destroyed by fire.

An episode with a Ukrainian M777 howitzer abandoned in the Kursk region of Russia. The howitzer will be used by the Akhmat units, it is operational and almost like new. 155-mm howitzers have been produced in the United States since 2005, its firing range of the M982 Excalibur active-reactive projectile is up to 40 kilometers. The Ukrainian army received about 197 M777 howitzers from the United States. Now about 100 M777 howitzers have been destroyed, mainly by Lancet drones, some fell into the hands of the Russian army.

The Ukrainian 155-mm self-propelled howitzer "Bogdana" on the Tatra Phoenix chassis was destroyed by the Russian kamikaze drone "Lancet-51". The video was filmed in the Kharkov region of Ukraine, near the village of Dolzhanka, which is about 12 kilometers from the border. As a result of the strike of the Russian drone "Lancet-51", a fire started in the Ukrainian self-propelled howitzer 2S22 "Bogdana".

An episode of the battle between the Russian 752nd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 20th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Zapad group and the Ukrainian 3rd Separate Assault Brigade. The video was filmed near the settlement of Nadiya in the LPR. A column of Ukrainian equipment consisting of a tank, an infantry fighting vehicle, an M113 armored personnel carrier, and an M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicle attempted to attack Russian positions. Russian intelligence spotted the column and struck with artillery and drones. The video was filmed from several drones. As a result of the battle, three Ukrainian M113 armored personnel carriers and an M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicle were destroyed, and an infantry fighting vehicle was also abandoned. The video is shortened, the dead servicemen have been removed.

Rare footage of the launch of the Russian kamikaze drone "Geran-2" from a car. The drones are controlled by operators and are equipped with 4G modems, Ukrainian SIM cards are installed in them. The video shows the strike of the drone "Geran-2" on a Ukrainian industrial facility in the area of the settlement of Musiyki, Kharkiv region of Ukraine. Judging by the video, this is the second drone attack.

Archival footage from 2024, repelling an attack by a Ukrainian naval drone off the coast of Crimea. A Russian temporary firing point is used to protect the coast. The Ukrainian naval drone is based on a jet ski, there are several versions, the model is unknown. Fire is being conducted on the naval drone from a ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft artillery mount, made in the Soviet Union. The ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft mount has a rate of fire of up to 2,000 rounds per minute and can hit targets at a range of up to 3 km. As a result of the battle, the Ukrainian naval drone caught fire.

An archive episode of the battle of the Ukrainian fourth company, at one of the strongholds, the location of the shooting is not reported. The video is shortened, showing episodes explaining the essence of what is happening and showing active moments of the battle. Russian artillery, drones and mortars are firing at the stronghold. Nearby, there is a shootout with a Russian unit. At first, the stronghold is attacked by a Russian FPV drone, it flies away, but when it returns, it hits two soldiers in a trench. Then, to change personnel, an armored personnel carrier YPR-765 arrives at the stronghold. The soldiers try to evacuate, but the armored personnel carrier breaks down. After this, they decide to abandon the combat vehicle and go on foot. When leaving the combat vehicle, one soldier is wounded in the arms and legs. Then it is reported that two more are wounded. The soldiers decide to drag the wounded man, after which a mortar mine explodes nearby. The soldier who filmed this video is wounded in the leg. The fate of the soldiers is unclear, as two wounded remain in the trench, and a soldier with the call sign Hector leaves. The video ends here. It is worth noting that the stronghold is open, it was impossible to defend it, judging by the video, there is not even a dugout.

An episode of the Russian evacuation group in Ukraine. In the video, a Russian Desertcross-1000 buggy, made in China, is used to evacuate two wounded soldiers. Technical information about the Desertcross-1000 buggy is on the channel. During the evacuation, Ukrainian FPV drones try to attack the group twice. A serviceman fires at the drones and, risking his life, tries to distract their attention from the wounded. The exact location of the shooting is not reported, the video is shortened.

An attempt to break through the Ukrainian army into the Belgorod region of Russia on March 18. The breakthrough was in the direction of the settlements of Demidovka, Grafovka and Prilesye. There were 5 attacks in one day. The tactics were the same as in the Kursk region, a lightning breakthrough in small groups, an attempt at any cost to go as far as possible into Russian territory. To repel the Ukrainian attack, Russian units used FPV drones, Lancet drones, Vandal drones and artillery. Iskander missiles, Tornado-S MLRS, TOS Solntsepek were used in the areas where Ukrainian units were concentrated in the Sumy region, and 40 FAB-500 bombs with UMPK were used.

Data on the number of Ukrainian forces varies, but it is reported that there were 29 units of military equipment, including 5 tanks, 16 armored vehicles, 4 cars and 200 servicemen. Ukrainian engineering vehicles UR-77, IMR-2, "Winsent 1MC" made passages in minefields. After that came armored vehicles. Bradley IFVs, M113 armored personnel carriers, BMP-1TS "Spis", tanks and other equipment were used. The infantry used ATVs. Data on March 18, on the losses of the Ukrainian army is inaccurate. It is preliminarily known, 60 people, 3 tanks, 3 engineering vehicles, 5 armored personnel carriers and a passenger car. On March 19, there was another attempt by the Ukrainian army to break through to the Belgorod region of Russia.

Ukrainian and some Russian channels reported a large-scale attack by FPV drones on the coastal air defense of Crimea. The models of equipment that came under attack are signed, they are also indicated in the description of the video. It is worth noting that there is no radar in the world that can reliably record FPV drones. This is the whole problem with air defense now. Why is this happening. Ukrainian naval drones with FPV drones on board are approaching the coast of Crimea. FPV drones take off and attack coastal infrastructure. Communication with FPV drones is carried out through communication repeaters. The Starlink satellite communication system is used. Why did this happen. Presumably, the coastal area of Crimea is not sufficiently patrolled by UAVs and aviation. Perhaps in the coastal part of Crimea, Russian electronic warfare does not jam Starlink communications. The shortened video shows strikes over several days. Attacks by Ukrainian drones are shown, but there are no facts of equipment destruction, despite this, the equipment could have been damaged.

Rare footage of objective control of the use of the high-precision Russian 152-mm ZOF95 Krasnopol-M2 projectile in Ukraine. The location of the shooting is not reported. The projectiles are used by the Russian self-propelled gun 2S19 Msta-S. More information about the 3OF39M Krasnopol-M projectiles is in the link to the video in the comments to the video. Information about the ZOF95 Krasnopol-M2 projectiles is still classified. The ZOF95 Krasnopol-M2 projectiles were also developed for the latest 2S35 Koalitsiya-SV self-propelled guns; they use a laser seeker, which provides high accuracy. In this case, the Russian projectiles were used to strike a Ukrainian fortification unit located in a basement. Strikes at temporary deployment points of the Ukrainian army are also shown. Judging by the destruction at the site of the explosion, the hits were accurate.

Rare and high-quality footage of a Russian Ka-52M helicopter using Vikhr-M guided missiles. The video was filmed on the border of Ukraine with the Belgorod region of Russia, near the village of Maryino. When Ukrainian equipment crossed the border, the Ka-52M helicopter destroyed an M2A2 Bradley ODS-SA infantry fighting vehicle and an unknown model of Ukrainian tank using a Vikhr-M missile. These missiles can also be used by the Mi-28NM helicopter.

Technical information about the Vikhr-M missile

The Vikhr anti-tank missile system was developed in the Soviet Union as an analogue of the American AGM-114 Hellfire ATGM. The serial modified version of the 9K121 Vikhr-M began to be delivered to the troops in 2015, the Vikhr-1 missile is equipped with a tandem charge that penetrates armor up to 1200 mm, at a range of up to 10,400 meters. The main purpose of the Russian Vikhr-M missile is to destroy armored vehicles, including those with active armor, as well as air targets at speeds of up to 800 km / h. The launch altitude of the missiles is up to 4,000 meters. The flight speed of the missile is more than 600 meters per second. Initially, the missiles were intended exclusively for Su-25 aircraft and Ka-52 helicopters, but now work is underway to adapt the Vikhr-M complex to the Mi-28NE and Mi-35P helicopters, as well as the Orion-E UAV.
