That's certainly very interesting. And if true, very tragic reasoning as to why the war started. But then the question arises.....if he knew all this before hand, why did he go so patriotically into Ukraine and have so many Wagnerites killed in Bahkmut?

Definitely a new perspective. Only thing I can say is commercial interest : Russians didn’t pay him what he was expecting and/or the real business outside of Russia impacted because the countries paying him can’t pay financially because of sanctions.

Or his conscience finally caught up with him and he is telling some truth

Wagner is only “commercial” as a means to cover its Kremlin ties. It was never a private enterprise, but a branch of of the russian armed forces used to allow for plausible deniability.

Coups and insurrections are what Wagner are good at - it is their bread and butter - you only have to see what they have done in Africa etc.. Putin little green men are now coming for him….

Wagner needs lands to operate on and they will lose their presence in Ukraine soon.. and they are finished unless they can occupy some part of Russia and call it home… Wagner have burnt too many bridges with Putin and Russian MOD - this is the only way they can survive. When the Russian MOD started to ask for PMC to sign to become regular units - game was up for Wagner - so this is their only option left…. They can’t exactly all fly off to Africa now..
