Their job was to provide tactical nuclear weapons at a moment’s notice, providing targeting options in Eastern Europe and deterring Soviet forces from concentrating conventional forces and firepower.​

In other words, we must be within 30 min max call at all times.

If there was alert call, while the aircrews were gearing up, the crew chiefs would be getting the jets readied. All crew chiefs assigned to VA duty are 'run certified' meaning they have permission to spool up the jets, then all the aircrew has to do is get in and strap in, then the WSOs who carries the nav cartridges would insert them and the INS would display the target coords. All VA aircrews understood that theirs would be one-way sorties even though there were egress routes and air refueling planned. Everyone knew that if VA jets are launched, air refueling would be the least of all concerns. The wingking made sure that all aircrews have their wills updated.

Europe is terrified at the prospect of Russia and China rapprochement. This nighmare scenario is a dire reality today. I work at a renowned European University where I have the privilege of exchanging views with Western scholars and professors from many countries around the world. These are authorities with credentials. It is one of the top universities in the world that attracts some of the brightest minds including political researchers. I can assure you that the academics and opinion shapers that I interact with all unanimously agree that Western clout is diminishing by the day. China and Russia are asserting themselves on the world stage. Don't pretend that this is small fish. This is a big deal and for the Western powers it is indeed a major concern.

I wasn't referring to Europeans buying Russian oil. I was referring to India and China. Russia is selling premium quality oil to two big consumers at a relatively cheap price. Why would Russia be concerned when their flow of income from these two large customers is guaranteed? Europe can boycott Russian gas/oil, but this won't dent Russian income.

Well, my brother was a FA-18 flier and now working with Rolls Royce and Boeing as a Trent Engine specialist in Boeing Plant in Alabama.

What you have are conjectures, not even hypothesis. Although, I can say baseless conjectures but that would be redundant. I would like to see any credible technical speculation that the F-16 can be brought down via electronics warfare methods.
