Its bad really, more police = more control by government. None of them countries would have been on a list to visit/live before I saw this list, the only one I would consider is Italy but having visited there its a generally violent and dirty place and Portugal is quite dodgy, the other countries on that list arent exactly known for their friendliness and acceptance, theres a reason the countries are so heavily policed.

Well there is a reason why Istanbul is one of the safest cities in his size, also Turkey generally is quite safe.

It only becomes a problem when police starts to act like in a wild west movie and starts to use tazers and life fire against unarmed people like in the US. Which is one of the unsafest places to be, where people fear police more than a robber.

That's ridiculous. The people who should fear the police are the ones who point a weapon at them and think nothing is going to happen.

I'd like to challenge any of the posters here with a US location flag but a foreign country flag if they fear the US police.

Ohh yes sure only the bad guys... not like US mafia cops are prone to kill any black teenager for no reason, or torturing diplomats like in this video.

Under Stalin the peak of imprisoned people per capita was 523 since 2000 in the US the imprisoned per capita are over 620.
NK and China have less people in prison than the "democratic and free" country USA.
The US is the worst regime in history, were children can and are recieving the death penalty with lethal injection or electric chair.

Death in Prison Sentences for Children | Equal Justice Initiative

Your disguting dictatorship is killing kids in prison, while your corrupt courts putting fines for murders so high that only the rich can sell themselfs out or get a deal behind the courts back to get free for charges of murder.
Disgusting regime.

The US is a HUGE country. There are going to be incidents here and there but that doesn't mean this is the NORM. That's like me saying some police incident in Romania must make it the same in Switzerland. Each US state has their own police and own laws just like Europe.

I know the police in Mississippi are not going to be as nice as those in say Vermont and I expect the police in some EU countries are going to be better than others...but I don't make a huge sweeping generalization of the entire EU.
