As far as I know, the jets are not entering Syrian air space. They fire stand off from the Med or over Lebanon. When they did enter once it was trailing Russian jet which got shot down in the confusion.

Su-35S payload capacity is 8000 kg. F-35 variants - while being smaller single engine designs - offer comparable payload capacity in beast mode.

New F-15 variants and F-22A offer much higher payload capacity.

Yes moving out would be a big mistake. Russia/China are still in the process of balancing NATO out, but undoubtedly NATO is the bigger player at the moment. The war in Syria should end soon and then tensions will reduce with NATO somewhat anyways. Further Russias history with Turkey is hardly impressive. Tough diplomatic game but I am sure you guys will be able to play the game.

Good point. Thats why i said that Turkey can look better to EU market for an alternative fighter so the tensions around F-35 and S400 would be minimized. After all staying in NATO means that NATO countries cant attack you which is very convenient while searching for gas.

SU-35 is just waste of time and resources for turkey

turkey should work together with Russia to a develop a special variant of SU-57 that will have turkish made avionic systems and armament .. SU-57T

Turkey should go for Su-57 with ToT that will help Turkey in its TFX program as well.

But Russians won't be offering it, I am sure.

JV in Su-57 can create a true 5th gen fighter for both Russia and Turkey.

Its better if Turkey looks at the European market for an alternative fighter.

They can look into UK Tempest project if they are ready to take Turkey as partner.

Su-35 with Turkish sub systems and aesa radar would be overkill.. but NATO will deffinitely go against it.. thats why i dont give a chance to it..

It will be good bird to have with western based tech, Pakistan can also look into it in future.

Joining any program with Europeans will lead to similar end result as Turkish Tank engine or even the Atak engine supply issue. Turkey will be strung along and in the end they will not receive anything. They will never sell any components that will make Turkey independent in Arms production. They will happily take money and sign MOUs.
All the Europeans are acting with hostility with Turkey and to think that they will supply any critical components is dreaming. You need to learn from the experience of the F35 Program and not wish that the same will not happen again with the Europeans.

The reason is that Jews hold huge power over Russia’s politics and economy and the two countries are in a very close relationship. Even Putin’s mother is Jewish - Maria Shelomova (Shlomo- Solomon) so you can’t expect such a thing.
