But we will not get E version they built for export (Heavily downgraded) but we will make our own version like we did with Su-30MKI.

4 F-16s? I think you dropped a few zeroes the actual number was around 400 F-16s by 1 Mig-21 lots of countries are furious as to why their F-16 fleets were wiped out but don't want to anger the Mig-21 fleet.

Abhinandan wasn't flying a mig21bis, instead he was on a unicorn with wings. Hence the number of F-16s we lost that day

IAF Su-30mki recent performance against PAF damaged the reputation of russian jets so badly that no one will purchase russian fighter jet in Middle East and may b not even india as they already going for western jets

But it shouldnt, because the issue is not the jet, but the pilot(s). INdia's Su-30s are probably not that much different than China's or Russia's so the only real variable is pilot skills and training.

I hope india just goes for rafael...the su35 is super manoeuvreable aircraft and with our pilots it will be cool. But i know we wont go for it and focus will be on project azm and rightfully so

Export version of Russian Su-57 Revealed

Russia today revealed an export version of its Su-57 stealth fighter jet, potentially to be called the Su-57E and expects to find a market for it primarily in the Middle East.​

The necessary documentation for export sanction has been submitted to the Russsian government by plane manufacturer United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) and its holding company Rostec.

Viktor Kladov, Director for International Cooperation and Regional Policy of Rostec said during the course of a media briefing at the Langkawi International Maritime and Air (LIMA) in Malaysia today.

The final approval for export was awaited from the Russian President. It is expected in a matter of weeks, he said.

The aircraft could be presented for the first time abroad during the Dubai Air Show in November, he said adding that a final decision remained to made on bringing the aircraft to the Dubai show. Other potential markets were Malaysia and India, he said.

Russia expects to fill a demand in stealth fighter jets which is currently dominated by the United States and which does not allow its export to countries which are not its closest allies.

In the Middle East, it does not provide cutting-edge weaponry to Arab countries given its policy of maintaining Israel's technological superiority in military equipment. By targeting the cash-rich gulf nations first, Russia is hoping to grab the market for stealth jets which is expected to the future of military aviation.

The Su-57 had been deployed for a short period in 2018 in the Russian air base in Syria for the purpose of testing its electronic systems, Russian Ministry of Defence (MOD) had revealed earlier.

The Su-57 is Russia's answer to the US F-35 and the F-22. It comes with weapons located inside its bay rather than mounted outside to reduce its radar signature.

Too early to think about it at this stage. Secondly, too expensive to own and run. What about Prohect Azm then?

If we do buy something it can be SU35S. Or even better if we can get J16 from China.

It is high time we learnt our lesson that we need to quit reliance or western weapons.

Russian jets are over hype. Their radar and avionics are below average thats why india installed Israeli radar and avionics on russian jets but still Su-30mki afraid to face even our old F16.

Thy gave thier toys with out real teeths and locked , any.upgrades with respect to indias support to russia against USA ?
So real equipments been not upgraded ,and indians knew that , cause thier military , and politicians likes to make money on the name of upgrading thier equipments ?
U must also remember one more thing , even in PAF case decades it was tied down like that getting F16s which in some cases couldnt flown or its gives its signaturs to US stalites of its location and weapons details on borad ?
It took like a decade for PAF to decode those chips in.F16s ?

If you are referring to 2 sqds of T 50 then its not happening unless theres a cataclysmic shift in geopolit situation. At the end of the day india-russia partnership is decades old and still quite strong. Moreover their export versions will probably be available by 2025. What do we do for the next 6 yrs?

I still think J16 is not a bad option.

Indian Pak Fa was canceled. this is a Su-57 same airframe different avionics. this is 3 side stealth not full stealth. three angles from front attack angles are stealth . if you are above it or behind it you can see it and track it.
