Remember KSA wants to build 16 big nuclear reactors and it made a bid where 5 suppliers' countries were chosen ..they are all competing between them..

Saudi Arabia literacy level and educated is known by everyone. They are dependent on engineers and educated individuals from other countries to fulfill such purposes. That's why there is lots of immigration overthere. Nuclear reactors are no joke,tell me where are those Saudi citizens who have a required education and expertise in this nuclear physics field?
Having God gifted resources is one thing , achieving and inventing something on your own is another.
UK doesn't have that kind of resources for example but on the basis of their expeditions , research and education they have more wealth than 50 plus combined Muslim countries.

Saudi Energy Minister to “Sputnik”: We cooperate with Russia in several fields, including nuclear energy

Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman stressed that cooperation with Russia is strengthening not only in the oil sector, but in several other areas.

In response to our question about nuclear cooperation with Russia, the minister replied: We cooperate with Russia in several fields, including nuclear energy, building and designing reactors in the Kingdom.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak had suggested to the Saudi side to build and design nuclear reactors in the Kingdom to become a center in the Middle East in this field.

Nowak and the minister are holding a closed meeting to discuss oil markets and new measures to support global markets, on the sidelines of the Petersburg International Economic Forum.
