No they didn't, the Russians had tanks comparable to the Germans, and in some cases superior.
Hell, 4 Russian KV-1s destroyed many dozens of Panzer 4s and 3s in a single engagement at the start of the war against Russia

i wouldn't call the Russians weak just because of a perceived current lack of superior numbers or tech that clearly defeats other nations' tech.

those are things that are easily overcome when under attack, improbable as that may seem during peace-time.

their track record during major conflicts speaks for itself; the Russians have always managed to keep their country theirs.

Sure, USSR built first space rocket, sent first artificial satellite into space, built first space suit, sent first man into space, did first space walk, built first space craft equipped with solar panels, built first space orbiter, built first space lander, built first space rover, built first space station, built first modular space station, built first fully automated space craft. Russia has only 140 million people. Less than Bangladesh. Russia GDP smaller than Italy GDP. Russia only 1 obsolete 1980s aircraft carrier. Russia down sizing their military. Only left with a few hundred T-14 tanks and about 60 Su-57 jets and a few nuclear subs and a few frigates by the 2030s.

Is Russia a super power? Nope. It's a pretty weak and meek welfare state like the other European countries.

I will never call the people who stopped the unstoppable Wehrmacht weak.

US and whole west is against Russia and She is still standing and If this would happened to US then US will collapse within few days. West is attacking Russian economy and they are still serving from it. Any country other then China and Russia can stand in front of West? Your answer is the answer of this thread

History is never repeated. Who is first is first forever. It's not about indulging in past achievements. It's reality. Chinese can never say they are the first in space.

I don't see in this 21 and 22nd century, Russia able to rise to the point of former USSR glory. The same with Turkey, will never repeat the Ottoman success.

But Russia has a lot of genius people. If Russian people are hardworking enough, they can became the next German and Japan.

Let’s be honest... panzer 3/4 was no match for even a t34... panzerkampfwagen 6, 7... panther tanks were superior to KV -1 if only the Germans stayed with a single platform... they could have lasted a little longer.

Nope. Still superior to Tiger 2. Tiger 2 88 mm gun no match for IS-2 122 mm gun. Plus IS-2 has better armor than Tiger 2. Better shape for deflecting incoming rounds.

yes Russia is third class country who is always spending Billions of $$$$$$$$ on defense but not looking to improve the life standard of their citizens @undertakerwwefan

India and Pakistan too spend a lot on military toys, and they hardly can be called paradises.
