Sorry. Chinese are smart and they have made lots of progress in many areas, but semiconductor tech parity, let alone supremacy, has eluded China so far.

Materials and chips are the body and brains of modern technology. Since China has developed hypersonic missiles, its materials tech is now proven. Top end chip technology remains elusive so far.

You are probably right that China will catch up but until that happens, it is premature to say that China can surpass the West.

China surpassed the west in many sectors not not all sectors, in technology China now is a near peer with the west rising from oblivion only a couple of years ago, China's priority is still on economy and trade now.

The critical bit is China right now "good enough"?

That does not need 15-20 years but they are either there or at most 5 years away.

China has pretty much solved the issues it has had with jet engines and semiconductors over the last 5 - 10 years.

You should not judge China like you do with other countries as it's economic and human resources are on a much higher level.

West cannot even sanction China totally and to think it can do both Russia and China together is the height of fantasy.

The countries of the "Global South" are already moving away from following Western dictats. Even poor ones like BD are taking a more balanced position.

Well, electronic chips tech is reaching the limits of physics anyway and the game will move to another tech, maybe optical chips, maybe quantum.

you are the loser too. Putin kills off your silkroad. You can forget transport goods to Europe via Russia. You can forget to sell anything to US and EU if anything containing Russia items. Russia is cut off from international finance and trade systems.

It wasn't subject to US laws. The Dutch government was given an intelligence briefing on the security implications of allowing such ASML's machine to be freely available to the Chinese/Russian military...and they were the ones that stopped it. Plus they know the Chinese are just going to reverse engineer it anyway and sell it at a lower price.
