Russia deployed nuclear missiles on NATO doorstep, Europe 'alarmed'

Oh yes,Turkey is so smart and powerful that it plays NATO around its middle finger.
Well, some Brit's agree with that:

"But Turkey knew what it was doing when it was bombing PKK bases in Northern Iraq. What needs to be remembered about Turkey that it is a state with an independent spirit. This is not a coincidence. All forces of the United Nations, when Western Forces were fighting in Korea, the only military force whose brain had not been washed by North Korea and China belonged to the Turks. In 2003, when the US thought that Turkey would allow their occupation of Iraq and even the marine troops had arrived in Izmir, the Turkish parliament said “no.” This was no coincidence. The reality is that Turkey said “no” to George W. Bush. The matter that I politically suspect here is that Turkey was using the US. They can collaborate; they can act a step ahead and get what they want. This might be ok in the short run, but in the long run it is not." Robert Fisk

Then about that:
They just don't.You've downed Russian jet after consulting US if not under their direct order.
The kindergarden level of discussion some of you have amazes me.
Find a mirror and repeat for yourself these words of yours.

Christian's (West-Russia) want to kill each other? We will see what our opportunities are as NATO member and a neighbor of Russia.

Yadda, yadda, yadda. Most countries take these kind of decisions when their interest is at stake. For example, despite Western pressure,Romania doesn't recognise Kosov. Ofcourse I'll laugh at you when you presume that Turkey fools NATO,don't expect that your childlish rants can be taken seriously.Btw,where are the much advertised Russian fighter jets in Incirlik ? Right....after all that nonsense the US straightened you up quickly.

.
Btw,where are the much advertised Russian fighter jets in Incirlik ?
That's a great level, I can't compete... No wonder that what some of us have, amazes you :enjoy:

As I said:

@bsruzm we are still very much dependant on NATO, be it weaponry developmets throught ToT, buying equipment or ammo, maintenance of weaponry, nuclear umbrella etc. etc.

Turkey is in no position to show NATO the middlefinger, its just as it is.

Nobody shows a middle finger, "Turkey will act accordingly with it's interests, protect it's own" you get it that way then that's your problem. Besides, removing all these wouldn't take so long. The process already started. Don't forget NATO is dependant on Turkey, too. You wouldn't believe how much.

.
How come a dependent country acts accordingly with it's interests and protects in case of US-Russia confrontation? Tell me about it :)

Obviously rhetoric is often used by some leaders in the developing world to boast their popularity among the masses, especially after the events like the coup which happened in Turkey as most Turks thing it was western powers who were behind it. Reason he started acting the way he did. It's normal though, cant blame him, any politician would have reacted the same way, especially when they believe it was carried out by certain countries.

However, the fact that your leaders still don't want to leave NATO or turn their back on the E.U, shows they know that they will lost farrrrrrrrrrrr more than western powers(you yourself know that), since almost all your military equipment comes from western powers, your economy as well is heavily tilted towards Europe and access to European market and tourists are crucial for the Turkish economy. To be honest Turkey has too much to lose by separating itself from the west. If you do then your economy/aerospace sector etc wont be any better than Iran's and your military standing will start lagging behind even more than that of Iran. lol
So the current status quo benefits Turkey far more, but it also benefits western powers as well, since it also provides Western powers with a base in the region from which to operate and counter Russian operations/expansion in the black sea etc. So its a WIN-win relationship for Turkey and the west Respectively. I don't see Turkey changing this for decades to come NO MATTER HOW ANGRY AND EMOTIONAL THE SITUATION MIGHT BE BETWEEN BOTH SIDES as time goes by. Realpolitik always prevail at the end of the day.

No offence towards Turkey though, just making an observation. :)

@mike2000 is back you know nothing. Though, it is our mistake to let our guard down after 40's. I can't blame you for your ignorance :)

But if it becomes necessary, Russia can use other longer range options and this way UK is not out of Russia's range...e.g. Topol-M

Obviously they have had those capabilities long ago during the cold war. We have also had the capabilities as well long ago since the cold war(event though our nuclear deterrent just like France is mostly sea based with our Vanguard ballistic missiles nuclear subs). All the P5 powers have had the capabilities to nuke each other and strike basically anywhere around the world for a while now, If we never nuke one another during the height of the cold war, what makes you think we will today?lol

I believe its just posturing from both sides, each side seems to be making its red line known. It won't escalate to war(nowhere near it), but there will be alot of posturing and rhetoric though, nothing more. :) However, i welcome this Russian move, hopefully it will make other European countries wake up from their complacency and take their defence commitments more seriously. Sometimes its always good to have an enemy even an illusionary one, that way it keeps that nation on its toes and avoid disastrous complacency. :)

Show where did I say Russia will...I just said about the capability...Just possessing the capability does not mean that it must be used also.

Ofcourse NATO needs Turkey too, just the straits are a big reason.
With what are you gonna replace NATO weaponry? The things we are building arent enough not to mention those have their origin in NATO too so you still are forced to cooperate in the future.

This happens in Europe and US too and not even much less than rest of the world either, so yeah be a little bit fair here.
Remember Brexit and the rhetoric that lead to it.

.
This is to warn Europe if they sided with US in case of war they are history bye bye
We can see the effects already and they are talky about their in interest OMG good job Russia

Did I say enough? I don't think so. Besides, "future" is an unpredictable term :)
I repeat that nobody gives NATO a middle finger.

If you come out of your obsession of Pakistan for a moment, you will see that this thread about Russian move of deploying a nuclear capable missile called Iskandar.

I'm not interested about lunatic discussion... these type of deployment happened before .. but you are trying to assume Russia going to Nukes Europe.. if it does, then kiss the earth once for all. That's the doomsday .. only zombies will crawl around..

The former Eastern European countries have elected to join EU and Nato. Who are you to deny them this right to choose? As for yoyur insults: reported.
I have a right to my opinion. If Europe wants to turn into a radio active waste land in an American war then hey so be it.

As for yoyur insults: reported.
