No, they used to break temples for money (reference Ghazani and Ghouri) but they certainly used Mosques for Guns and bombs (Lal Masjid) .

i very much doubt that... guns are prohibitively expensive in india... its probably weapons like sticks, knifes, daggers or worse case bomb making equipment(the last one will be impossible to store in temple too without raising alarm... so little chance of that).
RSS usually steers clear of illegal activity... so that it does not get banned... there are sister organizations of rss who do use weapon(not sophisticated), but even they keep it secret...

The whole issue is about Right vs Left extremism, they can't live with each other. Left has already lost it's ground in Bengal they don't want this to happen in Kerala. So they are trying their best to restrict RSS & BJP ideology from spreading in the state, the recent incident of clash with RSS and Left karyakarta are example of the beginning of new political rivalry between two ideology. Left is definitely strong in Kerala but RSS/BJP has just started its crusade towards the state. Will be interesting to see how Modi & Amit duo can invade this state with their ideology and get more seat in next Assembly elections.

RSS is not involved in any arms training, it's VHP & Bajrang Dal. RSS is a completely different body, it has connection with Hinduism, but not religion. It spreads ideology not mythology.

Smart use of the word - weapon. RSS does not have ANY (major) weapon other than lathis.

Lathi training CAN be done anywhere. Temples, ground, private roads - all are fine.

Live Weapons training by NGOs is illegal in India. If RSS did that - it would have been quickly banned in Kerala.

This is just the latest tactic to take total control of Hindu temples. The Govt. already owns temples. Other religions are exempt - courtesy 'Indian secularism'.
