The Three Laws, quoted as being from the "Handbook of Robotics, 56th Edition, 2058 A.D.", are:
- A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
- A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
- A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Laws.
written by Isaac Asimov-
doesn't know if it's true or not, but according to programming language, there is ton a set of barrier in which will made an artificial intelligence doesn't have any freedom of expression like the human beings had.
What about Ghosts in the Machine? They are quite real - just google
The above three laws can be circumvented quite easily using circular logic. In-fact this was my best past time as a kid - debunking laws of science fiction. Assimov's was the one which took a bit of time but no biggie.
