Robotics Answers: Japan aims to lead next Industrial Revolution

it would be better if Japan makes Robot that able to motivates Japanese birthrate, perhaps something way even better than Kokoro Robot.

why not tapped the power of Genetic Engineering though? that way Japan can make a new kind of Humanoid Species for various purpouses
Which one is Robot :jeez:

Your post would be equally relevant if I replace create with destroy. I sometimes wonder how humanity will be judged collectively. Is our balance sheet in the red or black.

Psychobabble aside, ultimate aim of humanity is to become Kardashev Type V civilization. Towards that end I am working on a Dyson's Sphere :).

Haha, I see that you're also a fan of the genius of Sir Olaf stapledon, lol. Well in that aspect, if man can harness the power of the atom and use it for theoretically and practically speaking -- infinite energy, conjunctioned with mankind's ability to construct and engineer nature or equally natural platforms , then I think it is only about time that we realize that eventuality --- the genesis is a Dyson Square / Sphere. Consider this, bhai, man has only used 10% of his brain power, that means 90% remains untapped. We have not even realized our full potential, and when we do it shall be transcendental to what we were or are.

As I said, man is a creative and transformational entity. We possess a spark of the divine, infused if you may.

Similar to the concept of Brahman.

Yes, I see you have a liking for meta-physics. I don't want to derail this thread with incoming insults to Indian Vedic Culture but I think our elders were on the right track. Somewhere down the line we lost track.

robot : come to me baby :taz:

Robotics shall be the arm of human domination of the heavens, my friend. Robots shall be used in the terraforming of hospitable planets in the heavens, and shall be the beasts of burden, if you may, to ensure Mankind's success without having to exhaust human capital in the process.

I think we sometimes are limited by our conceived fears of being replaced by robots , but that will not be the case. Even with AIs, they do not have the transformational and creative aspect that defines Man. The created will remain a synthesis and subject to the Human Creator's devices. Robots have uses not just in security issues , but in energy, research, and colonial purposes.

The potential is endless!

I'm quite sure the term "technological unemployment" would be heard quite often, other than that it has applications in all purpose everyday usage, military, trash collection, heathcare, space and deep sea exploration, mining, factory work et cetra.

Until then GOOOOO GUNDAM.....

There is TRUTH in every single civilization and practices, my friend , it is the trait of The Human Family.

The Three Laws, quoted as being from the "Handbook of Robotics, 56th Edition, 2058 A.D.", are:

  1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
  2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
  3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Laws.

written by Isaac Asimov-

doesn't know if it's true or not, but according to programming language, there is ton a set of barrier in which will made an artificial intelligence doesn't have any freedom of expression like the human beings had.
