Roadmap for 200 LCA ( MK-1, LCA-1P, MK-II) (Update 2)

FACT is If LCA is not HAL Project Then why it is a Tester and Producer of the LCA in the First Place When it Has More complicated Projects in Hand

Different Task 98 % of the Task Related to Defense Aviation Come under HAL .project include
that's why Its One of the largest aerospace companies in Asia, HAL has annual turnover of over US$2 billion. More than 40% of HAL's revenues come from international deals to manufacture aircraft engines, spare parts, and other aircraft materials. A partial list of major operations undertaken by HAL includes the following:

there are so many agencies involved in whole LCA program and contributed in their own capacity but it doesn't make LCA proram as a whole their own product.

It's from the official DRDO website

there are many agencies involved with LCA program other than HAL

and please do not come up with these offtopic crap again and again

I know HAL manufacture sukhoi SU-30 but It's not HAL product

In the End HAL Design Develop, Manufacture,Fits Everything which Comes under Defense Aviation Without HAL No Aviation Project is complete

Apart from the aforementioned upgrades, DRDO has also assisted Hindustan Aeronautics with its programmes. These include the HAL Dhruv helicopter and theHAL HJT-36. Over a hundred LRU (Line Replaceable Unit)'s in the HJT-36 have come directly from the LCA programme. Other duties have included assisting the Indian Air Force with indigenisation of spares and equipment. These include both mandatory as well as other items.

DRDO and HAL have been responsible for the system design and integration of these upgrades, which combine indigenously developed systems along with imported ones. DRDO contributed subsystems like the Tarang radar warning receiver, Tempest jammer, core avionics computers, brake parachutes, cockpit instrumentation and displays.

Now you are trying to say that ADA and HAL's relation is like a JV but I don't think it's even close.

ADA is the design agency of LCA. It's mere existence is based on the LCA program. If there were not LCA program then ADA itself wouldn't had been formed.

ADA is the agency who will complete this whole program and transfer the tech to HAL to manufacture it.

But I don't think we are going anywhere with this useless talk.

So I request you to tag me here when your fantastical program MK1-A/P come alive (which actually was the point of debate when you took the whole debate in the wrong direction).

regards

Hm...no. The lead agency on this is ADA. HAL may assemble all components, but they neither manufacture or design everything where Tejas is concerned.

I do not know but if we can bring in LCA P by 2017 and mass produce them than certainly Many counties shall be interested. 800 KG lighter LCA MK1 P shall be a stuff which shall attract many people. 5700 KG aircraft with 85 KG thrust is an excellent product. Some aerodynamic improvements are also on the card. All in all MK!P can emerge as a very potent fighter.

It certainly will be a big benefit, Shaving of weight from landing gear, which is currently over engineered for extra safety. Total 300 kg of dead weight is in form of lead plated installed in MK1 to balance the aircraft, will be taken out however around 300 kg of useful weight will be installed like AESA, OBOGS, new EW suite.

No It has Aircraft Research and Design Centre (ARDC),Aircraft Research and Design Centre (ARDC), one of the Ten Research & Design Centres of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and a name well recognized in the international Aviation circles for over 50 years, is one of the pioneering organizations in India in the field of Design, Development, Prototype Building and Testing of fixed wing aircraft. An organization which began as the Engineering Department of the erstwhile Hindustan Aircraft Limited has over the past decades grown into a full-fledged R&D Centre driven by top technologists, powered by bright Engineers and ably supported by Commercial, Finance, HRD and allied groups.

ARDC has 13 successful aircraft Designs to its credit, ranging from basic piston Trainers to the frontline combat aircraft (HT-2, PUSPAK, KRISHAK, MARUT, KIRAN MK-1, BASANTH, AJEET, KIRAN MK-II, HPT-32, AJEET TRAINER, HTT-34, LCA and IJT).

LCA is a light multi-mission agile fighter aircraft meant to replace the ageing fleet of MiG 21 aircraft. The LCA project conceptualized in the late seventies and formally launched in 1984 is managed by the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) with HAL as the Prime Contractor accounting for an overwhelming majority of design and manufacturing tasks. The flight test phase of Tejas was initiated on 4 January 2001 with the first flight of the first Technology Demonstrator prototype (TD-1).

The Naval version of LCA has some more challenging technological features when compared to the basic LCA IAF version. Some of these include the Leading Edge Vortex Controller (LEVCON), Ramp take-off, Telescopic Landing Gear designed for a very steep sink rate and the Arrester Hook system for deck recovery.

We cant sell tejas to Anti Israel block .period . May be after equipment replaced with Russians . Which is unlikely as it will take more time and money .
