Riot for Votes, the politicization of bloodshed.

BS, neither BSP, Nor SP, nor Congress nor BJP had any business organizing anything anywhere. The incident was localized like the 1000s of criminal incidents that happen everyday. Either the cops should have arrested the eve teasers, else arrested the Jats and put them into jail and closed it. BJP in it's maha panchayat found a golden opportunity to attack muslims- that's the truth. Not 'to protect daughters and family'.

Among those facing the music now are Bahujan Samaj Party MP from Muzaffarnagar Qadir Rana, SP leader Rashid Siddiqui, Congress leader Saeedujjama and BSP MLA Noor Salim Rana, who have been charged with inciting the people at a public meeting held on August 30.

Mahapanchayat was to protect their daughters and sisters from Rape J*had and to protest against the failure of Administration in sachin and Gaurav 's Murder ...in a democracy they have every right to protest ....

in a way a private militia in the name of punchayat attended by BJP and Co personnel deciding to lynch the Muslims collectively for the "fault" act of two boys or one boy.
where are these Hindu punchayats when they are most needed to protect daughters and sisters in dehli and elsewhere from rape??

The big question is; will citizens of India wake up and realize the pathetic communal politics being played by certain politicians & political parties hiding behind the veil of secularism?

So BJP did not call for the Mahapanchayat to play Vote bank politics- it was for defence of innocent hindu wives and daughters? And BJP MP Som put up that fake video unknowingly to spread communal harmony- not to get hindu votes by spreading discord?

The cops arrested the miscreants AND the jaats. The SP then pressed the cops into releasing them.

And the solution to this particular action is to rouse all hindus to fight against all muslims

The big question is when will idiots like you realize that pathetic communal politics aren't played only by parties calling themselves secular.

They can use the same argument to say that they wanted to protect their daughters and family. No panchayat has any business looking into law and order anyway.

No one took law and order in Hand ,they held a peaceful protest and they have every right to do it ...every citizen have right to look how law and order thing

The solution is to be cognizant of the fact that SP leaders deliberately created a charged atmosphere so as to precipitate a riot, a riot which would polarize the votes.

People like these SP leaders give secularism a bad name and actual secularists get to face the abuses.

1) So the police did not arrest the murderers of the jat boys,

2) Muslim leaders from SP, BSP and Congress made hateful speeches and incited violence BEFORE the mahapanchayat was held

3) Jats returning from mahapanchayat were attacked near a canal and their bodies thrown in water

THEREFORE its the fault of BJP for lending support to the mahapanchayat. Its only a matter of time before Modi will be implicated in this.

The kind of communal bloody dastardly scum that passes as ''secular'' in India is astounding. They have made the logical word ''secular'' an expletive.

There was series of incidents lead to this ,from various Rape incidents ,murder of three youth ,friday speech in mosque ,then the Mahapanchayat and finally Joly cannal area killings which ultimately lead to violence ....Mahapanchayat was a way of protest and nothing wrong in that

Akhilesh govt on backfoot after exposé on Muzaffarnagar riots!!

Lucknow: Stung by the sting operations done by leading TV channels, which exposed that the Samajwadi Party government had asked the state police to go slow on the perpetrators of the riots in Muzaffarnagar and the surrounding areas, UP Minister Azam Khan has now jumped to Akhilesh Yadav government's defence.

Speaking to reporters, Azam Khan, a prominent Muslim face of the party and also the in-charge of the Muzaffarnagar district, said, "Such things aren't in my character, I would prefer dying rather than living such a life."

Denying any wrongdoing in the riots, Khan said, "If found guilty, I am ready to face any punishment."

The UP minister, however, said that he doesn’t want to give any explanation to any one on the TV exposé on Muzaffarnagar violence.

"I have nothing to do with this, don't want to give any explanations, "Azam Khan said, adding, "It is not the time to reflect on what the Government did but what should be done to restore normalcy in the area."

The Samajwadi Party government led by Akhliesh Yadav has come under Opposition attack, hours after the exposé on Muzaffarnagar riots was telecast.

The SP government, facing flak for delay in action to curb violence in riot-hit Muzaffarnagar, on Tuesday night transferred two district police officers to cover-up the issue.

The sting operation showed Budhana Inspector Rishipal and the Inspector of Fhuwana admitting that they delayed taking action to contain the violence under "political pressure".

While Budhana Inspector Rishipal was sent back to Crime Branch from where he was brought a day ago, Inspector of Fhuwana Police Station was sent to police lines, sources said.

However, the UP police later termed the transfers as routine.

Separately, a local court today issued arrest warrants against three BSP leaders, a BJP legislator and a former Congress MP, accused of making provocative speeches and inciting the mob leading to riots in the area.

Ashok Mutha Jain, DIG Saharanpur range, said, "Special teams have been formed to nab the culprits, investigation is going on in Muzaffarnagar violence case."

Reacting to the exposé, BJP said, "The sting operation showed violence was state-sponsored."

Senior BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu said, "The UP government is pursuing the agenda of vote bank politics and politics of appeasement. It must be dismissed."

"Because of SP's failure this incident happened, we demand this government be dismissed and President's Rule be imposed."

Meanwhile, police today cordoned off the UP Assembly after arrest warrant was issued against six politicians by a local court for their alleged involvement in the riots.

The six are likely to be arrested today.

Muzaffarnagar violence: Arrest warrants against politicians

Lucknow: A local court on Wednesday issued arrest warrants against leaders of Bahujan Samajwadi Party, Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress on Monday for inciting violence in Muzaffarnagar and adjoining areas.

The arrest warrants have been issued against BSP leaders Qadir Rana, Jameel Ahmed and Noor Salim Rana, former Congress MP Saedduzzaman and BJP leaders Hukum Singh, Sangat Singh Som, Suresh Rana and Kunwar Bharatendu. Bharatiya Kisan Union leaders Rakesh Tikait and Naresh Tikait are also on the list.

Meanwhile, heavy security has been placed in the UP Assembly to avert any untoward incident following the issuance of arrest warrants.

Meanhile, senior BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu said, "The UP government is pursuing the agenda of vote bank politics and politics of appeasement. It must be dismissed."

"Because of SP's failure this incident happened, we demand this government be dismissed and President's Rule be imposed."

Forty-eight people have been killed in the violence which erupted in the district between two communities. And around 40,000 people have taken refuge in more than 30 relief camps set up in Muzaffarnagar and Shamli districts.

The incident was sparked off when an alleged case of sexual harassment led to three youth being killed in Kawaal village on August 27.

A 'mahapanchayat' or gathering of village councils was held a few days later, which led to communal clashes in Muzaffarnagar and nearby areas, forcing the government to call in the Army to control the situation.

One of the good thing happened with this riot is that, people realized the true faces of some fake secularists. I think media done a good job in exposing them...

The solution is also to be congizant of the fact that the BJP was gleefully fanning the situation of control with fake videos and communal speeches too. You're saying BJP is NOT playing vote bank politics there?

@Dillinger totally agree with you mate.. Because of these scums, people hate secularism in India..In the name of secularism, politicians playing political games and our country is paying the price for it... The concept of an ideal secularism is long lost in this country!!

What I have stated is quite simple. It doesn't require elaborate elucidation. But if you still insist- when the ruling party which claims to be secular and is in coalition at the center with a party which positions itself as the fountainhead of all that can possibly be secular vitiates the atmosphere and creates a situation of heightened communal tensions for its own agenda and gain then why complain when others dip in their fingers. The BJP did not start this, it did not set things in motion, its local leaders will have most definitely tried to piggyback on the heinous situation that developed but that does not cover the fact that they didn't start it, they didn't set the grounds for it nor did they initiate the process which ultimately culminated in violence.
