How you came that conclusion?? Every projects are different.. Quotation will be raised for price competitiveness..

MP has already said once we will no longer give priority to price competitiveness rather on quality.

The only worry now is how other countries will use their power to delay any selection. We should have just done the deal with Israel on this one considering the slow pace of the LCA project. Not every procurement requires calls for tender. A blunder that can slow down the LCA even more.

Why exclude NG ?

HAL would have surely invited proposals before sending Request for Quotations to the interested parties.

The Conditions present in RFPs might have not allowed NG to participate. This also clears one more thing , NG is the supplier of AESA radars for F16s , which are being pitched for IAF. Now if they are not ok with ToT, it shows that what LM was talking about in Media [ToT ] is false. And if GOI straight away goes for an open tender with ToT requirements, F16 isn't winning.

There are no strings attached to buying this radar and support can be guaranteed from Israel even during war

But they are using older technologies = GaAs.
GaN based radar is cheaper and better.
If ELTA wants to use GaN, it is going to delay the Radar with years.

These requirements are for development and production of improved LCA MK1A .

The Offers will be evaluated by IAF/HAL team. Decisions would be made accordingly.

Well, you guys have the bestest AESA radar on earth, it's called UTTHAM right? So why do you ned to buy one now? Wasn't it supposed to be near completion whereby it shall could should will may equip India in the 'near' future?
