An eyewitness has exposed Indian claims of major destruction inside Pakistan.

Talking to Reuters news agency, he said that they heard four loud bangs in the early hours of Tuesday but reported only one person wounded by bomb shards.

“We saw trees fallen down and one house damaged and four craters where the bombs had fallen,” said Mohammad Ajmal, a 25-year-old who visited the site.

The Pakistan Air Force thwarted an early morning incursion into its airspace Tuesday by Indian fighter aircraft, forcing them to flee, the military spokesman said.

The Indian aircraft intruded from Muzafarabad sector, Major General Asif Ghafoor said in a tweet at 6:36 am.

He said the "timely and effective response from Pakistan Air Force" forced the intruding aircraft to "release payload in haste while escaping, which fell near BalakotSector (Azad Kashmir)."

Pictures released by the Director General Inter Services Public Relations Major General Asif Ghafoor show a burnt out steep mountain side with no sign of any damage to any property, apart from a few burnt out pine trees.

A few shards of metal were scattered around in the charred grass.

The incursion into the Pakistan air space follows a series of threats by Indian political and military leadership following the attack on an Indian Army convoy at Pulwama by a local youth, in reaction to the oppression unleashed by the occupation forces.

How did the Indians get that far? Even if they came in and dropped nothing, isn't this a show of force by them? Realistically speaking, if war breaks out between India and Pakistan then the chances are that the IAF will dominate considering that the PAF was on full alert. It's time that the PAF started reviewing their strategy

So now instead of the embarrassing situation of an incursion into air space despite claims on ‘ not being surprised ‘ , the emphasis shifts to ‘ See ! I didn’t get hurt !’ ?
Neither side can completely prevent minor incursions into each other's airspace. Balakot is approx 42.2KM to LoC, a Mirage 2000 can cover that distance in less than 2 minutes.

From what I understand, unlike what India did with the Atlantique, the protocol calls for intruding aircraft to be warned and only engaged if they refuse to comply. The idea being not to escalate an incursion into a major incident involving aircraft being shot down.

And when we gonna learn that in war nothing is illegal.

Someone deliberately gives that window to them while working on the other things. Soon they will realize we don't have to use that window man it was a pawn.

There are four different things you need to think about in a situation such as this one.

1. Given the distance from the LOC, a competently designed and run mission profile by a low flying aircraft packet can enter PK undetected, use the terrain in its advantage, release weapons and get back over the LOC in something like 5 minutes. Even less possibly.

2. The defensive force can react to such a mission after it detects the packet. Given the distances and the terrain involved, this may have or have not happened by the time the planes were back in IK.

3. Detecting the force is one thing. Intercepting it is another all-together. Again, given the approximate time the packet stayed inside PK, it is prudent to assume that the margins were very tight for any defending force.

4. Even if the force was intercepted, you also need a clear RoI doctrine applicable at the time of said interception. This may or may have not been in place. If the defending force needed high command authorization to dispatch weapons and the outstanding RoI was to warn first, it is possible that the attacking force was well over the LOC when said authorization could have arrived.

Dude wait and watch for similar incursion from our side as well. Countdown already started.

India Says Many 'Eliminated' in Strike on Jaish Camp, 'Grave Aggression' Says Pakistan
Pakistan had earlier said that the Indian Mirage 2000 planes were intercepted and released their “payload early”, without any casualties.

So why Pakistan says "grave aggression" now if there were no causalities ?

The fact that Indian Air Force jets entered Pakistani Air space and dropped a few bombs, regardless of whether they hit anything of value or not, is indeed a grave aggression. One would think it would be quite obvious why.

The purpose is not to change goalposts here, we are still not happy with the fact that 1 out of the 3 incursion attempts managed to cross over LOC. But it's about countering the Indian narrative that they unleashed some hell or some bullshit, it is to simply reveal that they are lying, they didn't hit any thing let alone kill '200-300' terrorists.

Attempt to violate Pakistani Airspace in three different sectors, in one sector, the incursion managed to cross LOC, the intention was clearly to cause destruction albeit it failed. If that isn't an act of (grave) aggression then I don't know what is.
