Retired life!

.
Retirement offers you many opportunities that were previously unavailable to you. Whether it's hobbies, travel, family, volunteer work or just relaxing, the choices are yours.

Don't make the mistake which many other retired individuals make and find themselves idle with the days long and hard to fill. This often leads to a feeling of being unproductive, bored and depressed. Your retirement years can be filled with activities and events, if you so choose:

Making a Difference in the Lives of Others:

Volunteer work is something that many retired individuals find very rewarding. Hospitals are one place that is always in demand for volunteers. The look of joy on a little child's face after you've donated an afternoon to them will be forever embedded in your mind.

The local little league groups are always in demand for extra volunteer help. Soup kitchens and shelters...if you live in a larger city...always need willing volunteers as well. These are just a few of the many places you can find rewarding volunteer work.

You'll quickly find that your life after retirement is busier now than when you were working...but in a much more rewarding way.

Which Hobbies Have Gone Neglected?

Hobbies are something that we never seem to have enough time for. How many times have you heard someone make the statement, "I used to do this all the time but don't seem to have the time for it anymore".

You'll no longer have to be one of the individuals making this statement. Time is something that is finally all yours as you enter retirement!

Your love of children might bring you to be an "adopted" grandparent. Not all children are lucky enough to have loving and caring grandparents. Some children would not only enjoy having a grandparent to love and cherish them, but might actually rise from otherwise dreadful living situations all because you took the time to be there for them. You might even choose to be a "big brother or sister" to many. Just because you're a senior doesn't mean that you are destined only and always to be viewed as a grandparent. Just being a friend to young people who are struggling to survive life can make all the difference in the world.

financial planning of the younger generation...etc..........

a few years, i retire in 7 days (1 week). i'm the one who should be asking this Q.
Sleep beyond limits, read books of your interest (eg. military history), take soothing walks in good weather and beautiful scenes (I prefer sunrise over sunsets, sometimes visit edge of cliffs or high places before dawn and watch the sun rise). You could even write a book, not necessarily on political issues or similar, not even required to publish it. Just for fun. Lastly, try business ideas ;)

1. Take 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in people's carts when they aren't looking.

2. Set all the alarm clocks in watch section to go off at 5-minute intervals

3. Make a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the women's restroom.

4. Walk up to an employee and tell her in an official voice, "Code 3 in House-wares. Get on it right away."

5. Move "CAUTION - WET FLOOR" sign to a carpeted area.

6. Set up a tent in the camping department and tell other shoppers i will invite you in if you would bring pillows and blankets from the bedding department.

7. When a clerk ask if they could help you, start crying and screamed, "Why can't you people just leave me alone?"

8. Looked right into the security camera and use it as a mirror and picked your nose.

9. Go to gun store asked the attendant "where i can get antidepressants" while handling guns

10. Dart around the store suspiciously while loudly humming the "Mission Impossible" theme.

11. Hide in a clothing rack and when people browsed through, yell "PICK ME! PICK ME!"

12 When an announcement come over the loud speaker, assume a fatal position and scream "OH NO! IT'S THOSE VOICES AGAIN!"

13: Go into a fitting room, shut the door, waited awhile, and then yell very loudly, "Hey! There's no toilet paper in here!"
