Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior vice president Fawad Chaudhry was drunk while he was arrested, revealed a medical report released by police on Saturday.

A medical report found alcohol in the blood sample taken from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry at the time of his arrest, indicating that the former minister may have been intoxicated, Express News reported.

"Assuming the arrest time of 5:00am on January 25, 2023, and sample collection time at PIMS Hospital at 9:45pm on January 25, 2023, Fawad Ahmad Chaudhry might have ingested alcohol at 5:00am on January 25, 2023," Punjab Forensic Science Agency report stated.

"If the aforementioned assumption is accurate, then blood alcohol level would be in the lethal alcohol concentration range i.e. 0.4 g/dL," it concluded.

The Islamabad police have registered another case against Fawad after receiving the toxicology report.

The PTI leader was arrested from Lahore on January 25 for allegedly “inciting violence” against the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) members and the chief election commissioner (CEC).

An FIR was registered against him at Islamabad’s Kohsar police station. Later, he was handed over to police on a two-day physical remand.

As the remand ended, Fawad was produced before a judicial magistrate who extended it by another two days.

The former information minister was released from Adiala jail on Wednesday evening after he was granted bail against a surety bond of Rs20,000.

every 3rd person in Pakistan drinks! What's the issue here?
You just order it via WhatsApp and they deliver it to your home.
There is no Islam in Pakistan so why does anyone even care.
As a guy who drank for more than a decade, I can assure you 1/3rd of Pakistanis do not drink.

Hardly, 1% of Pakistanis occasionally drink. And only 3-5% might have tried it once in their lifetime.

I used to drink regularly when I was abroad, came back to Pak 7 years ago, tried multiple times in earlier days and then quit completely. Simply because, there are no 'Glass Fellows' here to drink with. Before you ask, no I don't live in a small town. I live in Karachi in the most famous posh area.

If you have to make a point next time, try to make it more believable/realistic. Thanks.

Now he has a defense. I was too drunk to realize what I was saying. Pleading Not Guilty for reason of extreme inebriation.

BTW, 0.254 Blood Alcohol Content is more than 3 times legal limit here in U.S. (Our legal limit for impairment is 0.08). He must have had lots of drinks to reach 0.254 and at that point, he would be so intoxicated that anything he says is largely meaningless. Mostly, he won't even be coherent to say anything sensible.

Your council of Islamic ideology members are drunk and somehow for patwari corruptoos Fawad is a big deal?
when PC Peshawar was hit by a bomb a lawmaker there ran out in a towel along with two ladies with him..

Nanga Pakistan should not point fingers on drunkeness when they eat the flesh of their own country inhabitants by being the most corrupt things that ever existed
