Too many illiterate religious fanatics are roaming the country and these so called religious political figures are taking advantage of it. I bet you none of these guys would even know the basics of Islam, let alone what is Sharia Law.

The problem is that in Pakistan we don't have a dedicated Ministry of Religious affairs like the Turkish Diyanet, that should be responsible for the construction and maintenance of Masjids and training and providing Imams. Any tom dick and harry can build a mosque and start preaching his version of Islam and thats the reason we have so many different sects.

We need to especially ban these "Made in India" Sects.

Law should be equally applicable, a fair inquiry is needed about the allegations of blasphemy on mashal khan. Moreover, the pending blasphemy cases should be prosecuted in order to restore the faith on law because we have several examples from past where people commit blasphemy and get a solid visa with handsome incentives. Every sane mind knows this fact that the mentality against Islam from last 1400 years is promoting blasphemy directly or indirectly.

This is not a talkshow debate but a serious matter, state is responsible. Seculars only accept those decisions where mullahs get punished, any decision against blasphemers is mocked on TV channels and throughout the world. State should hang atleast half of the convicted blasphemers to restore faith in law. Then hang anyone who will take law in hand on alleged blasphemy charges.

Blasphemy should not carry a punishment or a death sentence. The person should be invited to discuss with a respected scholar to educate. This is not how Islam should be enforced vile vulgar mob culture. We are not ISIS be civilized.

exactly this,we have seen quite well whith those bastard bloggers and how they were let go by nawaz sharif to please liberals

What works in Turkey will not work Pakistan. Pakistani Mullahs will not be dictated by authoritarian laws and they are not scared to die either for their freedom. Pakistani liberals ( if they exist) are not willing to die for what they believe obviously.

We have to start thinking that some of Islamic sharia laws are the problem, these mullahs are not misinterpreting Islam. Punishment for blasphemy is death in Islam. Just like rich is allowed to get away with murder in Pakistan after paying money to victim family. I bet many of so called liberal elite use these Islamic laws to full extent when it favor them. Islam is definitely problem here, stop living in denial.
