I would not call it a genocide even though I am forced to admit that the situation of minorities is not even barely optimal. Genocide is state sponsored, motivated and complete culling of minorities. That is not what is happening in Pakistan. Instead there is state sponsored discrimination and individual/religious organization based discrimination, not genocide. Discrimination against non muslims is everywhere and most against Hindus and Christians while the Parsis have it a little bit better. The problem exists because we fail to admit in the first place that we do not treat minorities well and much more could be done. Forced conversion bill, deletion of the blasphemy law and much more could be done. The discrimination can be noted that there is a fund for hajis going to Mecca but none for Hindus to go for Yatra. This initself is discriminatory. We should remember the examples of Umar and Ali in their treatment of minorities. Secularism would be the best solution for the country yet we are still stuck on other questions like how long anothers painchas are. The mullahs pettiness is also a feature in the lack of rights for non muslims.

The political parties are complicit in ensuring minorities do not gain equal rights. For example a lot of Sindhi Hindus (8.5% total of Sindhs) voted for PPPP but PPP gave them nothing. Infact Mian Mithoo of the Rinkle Kumari case was a PPPP politician. Pakistan Peoples Party of course continues to fail in every field and even make a joke of their liberal credentials, which we do not buy anymore.

I suspect she being a "scholar" already knows that this is a myth that's been busted repeatedly, yet she keeps parroting it just like bharatis. The 20% or so figures from the time of partition includes east Pakistan, now Bangladesh. West Pakistan had a much smaller percentage of minorities at the time of partition, around 2%. Of course if you now exclude Bangladesh, the numbers would change. And she already knows this but will keep parroting these lies forever.

This is untrue. A large section of our whole family migrated from Lucknow/Hyderabad to what is now Pakistan controlled territory. This did not even happen in 47 but much later. The statistics for those escaping Indian occupied parts to go to Pakistan controlled parts are never mentioned. Also some people like my maternal grandfather still supported Pakistan but stayed on in Lucknow. The reason was it was too hard to migrate though he married almost every daughter to Pakistani passport holder. Both my parents held Indian passports once and decided to shove them in the gutter. Pakistan is the lifeblood of muslims in South Asia and there is still a trickle of muslims migrating to Pakistan controlled parts from many areas of Indian occupied. The biggest demographic in recent years is of Kashmiris

Migration was allowed till early 50s.
Keeping all trolling aside , why are Indian muslims not migrating enmass to Pakistan ?
Since u claim to have lucknow connections , you are in a better position to answer.
Its not as if muslims in India are like the parsis or sikhs , who do well economically here.
Also no dearth of riots against them . Ppl remember Gujarat 2002 only because of the media presence now , but Gujarat has had regular riots in every decade .

what, do you even geography. Lucknow and Hyderabad are 1,100 km apart, both have been historically segregated by princely states .that's like saying my papa is from Bhutan and mama is from Goa .
