You are only making a fool out of yourself. You do not even know how to ask a question or how to present an argument. Just because I type on a computer which is a gift of science doesnot mean that I have to abandon my core values and beliefs in "favor of science". And jimmy, you didn't ask any question, you argued in favor of substituting science with religion when in reality, both can work alongside each other as both fields are of a different nature. Science isn't a substitute for religion and vise versa.

So, why mix it with politics, why government need to regulate it? Let the individual follow its guidance by himself.

To begin with, science only explains natural phenomenon and it is a tool to make our lives easier. Science cannot substitute morality, ethics, deewani and faujdari law, public administration, culture and festivals. Without religion, you will not have objective morality. When morality becomes subjective, everything will be considered to be permitted and justifiable. The problem arises when one is out to define the red lines. Today it is homosexuality, tomorrow it will be zoophilia and pedophilia. You can argue that if someone is a drinker then it is none of your concern but what will you do when someone will argue that if he does heroin then its none of your concern; see where it is going. Islam is a code of life; it instructs mankind on how to govern and administer their polities. It defines what is good and what is bad(harmful in the long run) for humanity unlike science which does not claim to offer moral, legal and administrative guidance. Political Islam started the day when the city state of Medina emerged. Anyone who argues otherwise is indirectly rejecting the core fundamentals of Islam many of which are clearly stated in the Holy Quran.

Well one thing does ring true, that there were idiot mullahs who seem to have lost their marbles somewhere down the road, making absolute nonsensical theories about things they have no clue of. Having said that, science without Islam, has the tendency to sway a believer away from God. The challenge before us Muslims, is how to bridge between Islam and Science. For Islam is the faith and science is based on observation. It is our duty as Muslims to use our rational faculty and surge ahead in understanding Science and how the Holy Qu'ran can reveal the gap between rationale and the unseen world. Now that is something that would be a very interesting endeavor, in-sha-Allah!
