Relationship between Pak & US is imbalanced

I put the US-Pak-China equation as that increase in the distance with between US and Pakistan is directly proportional to the increase in relations between Pak and China...Am I right?

The tipping point was the formal agreement on CPEC. This put India and US on notice where Pakistan is heading.

Unless you've been living under a rock the last 30 years, then you'd realize that Pakistan DOES NOT have a relationship with america. We are simply forced to work with them because they are the most powerful nation on earth and they also happen to be morbidly intetested in our geostrategic location. The sooner the americans leave us alone the better.

The association Pak has had beginning with CENTO etc is what the author calls a relationship.

Refer part in bold - Why is Pakistan ' forced ' to work with the most powerful nation ? Surely Pak must have something to show for the 7 decades of existence other than changing sleeping partners . Where is the assurance China will not do the same 3-4 decades down the line ?

A nation to be relevant must have things like economy, industry,peace , education , national institutions which implement national laws & so much more. All these need a national will which cuts across party lines & through power blocs.

In my view , this is where Pak has faltered. The standard excuse one reads here is that the Politicians are corrupt. But when have they called the shots ?

In the CEPC what is Paks contribution other than offering itself & its real estate for another nation to invest & use for its own gain ? In return Pak gets paid quite like the US paid for using its infrastructure to reach so whats the diff ? If the roads are going to open up areas in the hinterland the money US paid could have also been used for the same purpose. The Army was running the nation then or at least for a part of the time & going by the adulation posters express here they could do no wrong.

True, but how would they benefit from it? whether its US,china,afghanistan,saudi... etc its all the same case. Its upto pakistan to have relations with countries which serves it better.

Its not their problem , its pakistans problem. For them aid is pretty puny amount for the benefit they get. Its not only US its the same case with saudi or any other country.

What China has done for Pakistan, NO other nation has done for another nation. It cannot be compared to our dealings with america. When all the world's most powerful nations were against us, only China stood by us. That will never be forgotton by Pakistan. Pakistan's relationship with China CAN NEVER be questioned or is up for discussion. Now the only thing left is how Pakistan can minimize our dealings with america.

As long as you are / were in a turmoil these countries are / were using your resources to achieve their national interest.

But if you insist that Americans or Chinese have helped any other country in any way selflessly OR out of compassion then do enlighten me in this regard.

The max damage to Pakistan has been done by Pakistanis themselves by not strengthening the nation. The focus has only been on weapons .

If you think that Chinese has any love for your nation then just read the clauses about their demand of minimum profits on their investments And the rate of interest they are charging Pakistan in financing CPEC. You surely will start having second thoughts about their true intentions.

I think matters have gone beyond stabilization of Pakistan. One must think of the geo-strategic implication of CPEC, specifically the use of Gwadar, and other Pakistani ports, by Chinese military. This spooks India the most.

CPEC is more hype than substance, Sir. China and USA know this clearly, but India has its own special concerns about it, but they are resolvable in the greater scheme of things for the region.
