The only thing I want to say here is that muslim in China cannot practice the same version of islam as in other muslim countries even though China is not anti-islam and indeed allows islam religion to be practiced.

You keep saying it is only related to management. I do not know what you term "management" includes and you really mean by management. China has laws and many restrictions on the islam religion you can practice. There are restrictions on other religions as well. Even though I am not sure, I believe China governments will even tell those imams who preach in mosque what they can say and what they cannot say. Is that also your "management"?

This is two different things, it seems, you know something for the Chinese, but you do not know some other things. You spent some time studying China, sir, I admit that. I find the reference to hallal restaurant as utterly stupid by whoever made it.

Indeed in China, you cannot practise Islam or Christianity in the way they can do elsewhere. The Chinese Govt will not allow it, for good reasons. It maybe horrifying in human rights terms, but damn good if one wants to keep the country stable and not allow foreign influence to cause chaos! Because China takes care to negate foreign influence through foreign religious organisations, it has less of religious turmoil than other countries which leads to embarrassments!

China is clear in its policy and damn what the world thinks.

It is China's way or the Highway!

It is stupid of some Chinese to pretend that it is anything but that, so that they look cute and soooooooooo politically correct!!

Seeing the chaos religion is playing around the world, I am constrained to say, maybe the Chinese way is the only way to maintain peace and stability!

Hmm it would be disappointing if he was one of China's leading citizens but honestly I doubt he would have had much influence if he chose to remain China. To make you disappointed, in my fields, there are no need to be postdoc to get a position. None of my classmates have been post-docs. In addition, I am not even sure there are such position in my fields.

BTW, I am quite happy for my life and for China as well. I just hope we can bring back the iron hand policy towards those terrorists and deal out justice promptly.
