1.5 liter is under powered engine for SUV. With BRV available at 3 to 3.4 million no one will be buying that 3.75 million.

I hope regal has invested much on this project. It is a loss making business as Honda is much more reliable brand with already established after sales service network which is key to automobile business

sir, land cruiser is around 2.6 crores ex-factory price the simplest version.

I just realised how much you pay for them in Pakistan. I'm in a state of shock. Base model in the up is 35K, which is about 73 lakh pkr in todays rate.

Yes actually this is considered as high luxury items and are imported therefore are being heavily taxed.

However, more than half of these running in Pakistan are non custom paid and hence are illegal. Thats why you can see them more in Balochistan, KPK and rural areas then in cities where risk of running illegal vehicle is comparatively high.

Really cant understand the making strategies of our local firms offering higher end costly Chinese products. Even the hatchback being offered are overpriced and stuffed with unnecessary gadget.

The most successful automobile company is suzuki which has truly understood market demand.
most of our consumer just need a vehicle to commute and can't afford higher price vehicle.

Suzuki usually offers simple stripped down vehicle with optional features for some one needing little luxury. and its a very successful policy.

Whay cant other local producers especially of Chinese car do same. I mean how the hell they think they can compete with imported Japanese cars and even some local cars with such high prices but low quality.

many Pakistani hate Suzuki 800 but the truth is most Pakistanis do not even know how to maintain cars or drive cars.. service intervals, tyre rotation, etc for most is unheard of ..


honesty for Pakistan a simple box car with basic features such as AC etc strong suspension is all that we need... we drive like dodging cars so so many dents,..

i would say we should have taken the TOT for corolla 1993 and kept manufacturing that for years... mexico did that with the beetle and build for staggering 28+ years!.

and yes, we do have a thriving auto industry, tata, bajaj, hero.. and others, in both the 2 and 4 wheeler space.

this all foreign tech.. like Malaysia's proton is from Mitsubishi.

that way G3 and MP5 HK rifles fully manufactured in Pakistan is Pakistani and not German?..
