Red Mosque's Maulana Abdul Aziz is threatening policemen with violence

this poisonous snake is still alive and spreading venom all over capital . what a sad state
When a country devolves sovereignty to Allah in effect it gives power to those who peddle religion. The result is every two bit maulana can come along and use religion as his excuse to threaten the state. After all in a Islamic republic people who deal in religion like this and other maulanas have far more right to run it then politicians, cricket players, generals, traders, industrialists or farmers. Religion is their forte.

So I can't see why anybody is surprised about this. The guy merely wants to set up a Islamic Emirate or calipha like in Afghanistan.

I mean this is just a km away from where the NZ team is supposed to be staying.
It was also a km away when he did the same in 2019 but the thing was they just locked the sector up for months instead of doing anything about it

. . . .
Is this mosque in a Pashtun neighborhood?

Nope in Islamabad.
Yes, but don't you guys have localities that are dominated by people from different parts of the country? It is quite common for cities to have neighborhoods that way.
Islamabad doesn't have ethnicity based neighborhoods.
Okay, that is what I was looking to understand. Then the actions of this mosque community are not easily explainable

Nope, don't have that sort of divide here in Pakistan especially in federal capital

Not in Islamabad. Even in Lahore, where I live doesn't have ethnicity based neighborhoods. Old Lahore culture only exists within the tiny walled city.
