On 11 January Indian Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar warned that those who had inflicted pain on India "will also feel the pain", referring to the Pathankot Air Base Attack while addressing army officers.

"The time and place should be of our choosing," Mr Parrikar said at a seminar to mark the 68th Army Day.

"If someone is harming this country, I think that particular individual or organisation, I have purposely used the word individual or organization, should also receive similar pain. Until the pain can be transmitted, he will always enjoy giving pain to us," he commented.

Asked to clarify his remarks, Mr Parrikar told reporters later: "History tells you that those who damage you, if they don't realize what pain they inflict, then they don't change."

Post Manohar Parrikar Statement Scenario

Just after Mr Parrikar's statement Pakistan saw sudden rise in attacks on its soil in following sequence.

13 January, 2016: At least 15 killed in suicide blast near polio centre in Quetta
18 January, 2016
:
Five security personnel killed in Quetta IED blast
19 January, 2016:

11 killed, 31 injured in Jamrud check post blast

Why Sudden Terrorist Attacks in Quetta and Peshawar?

Yes Mr. Manohar meant business and thats why we saw a sudden spike in Quetta and Peshawar vicinity but question is that why were these two localities chosen for these activities? To find answer we should have a look at the Afghanistan map then we would find that Indian Consulate in Kandahar is near Quetta while the Jalalabad Consulate is near Peshawar. The IED attack on FC convoy on 18th January, 2016 according to AFP, the Baloch Liberation Army, one of the several proscribed Baloch separatist groups, claimed responsibility for the deadly attack. “We detonated a remote-controlled bomb and then ambushed the security forces personnel,” said group spokesman Meerak Baloch. “This is part of our war against security forces.”

Surprisingly however, an offshoot of the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan claimed his group detonated the IED. “TTP’s special unit MSG carried out the IED attack on the FC vehicle,” Muhammad Khorasani, the spokesperson for his eponymous faction of TTP, said in a statement. He further claimed that TTP fighters managed to escape from the scene after carrying out the attack.

Pakistan has long accused India of supporting TTP and Baloch insurgent groups so why is that these both are simultaneously claiming responsibility? Who is pulling their strings? Near both Peshawar and Quetta we have Indian Consulates on Afghan side and Pakistan has long been accusing involvement of these consulates in terror related activities in Pakistan. WhileTTP/BLA both have training camps in Afghanistan, they have support of both RAW and NDS. Mr Doval has openly warned in his speeches that India would use proxies against Pakistan and would annex Balochistan if another Mumbai type incident occurs. Give it a thought please.

Mr Parrikar and Doval's Take
With the recent terror attacks in Pakistan, both Indian Defence Minister Mr. Parrikar and Indian NSA Mr. Doval have tried to give confidence to Indian Nation that they mean business and they have done what they said and warned Pakistan about and thus have alleviated the morale of both Indian Armed Forces and Nation after the demoralizing Pathankot incident not only the attack could not be stopped even with prior intel and resultant safeguards in place but it took almost 4 days for Indian security agencies to clear the Base.

Pakistan's Required Response

Pakistan has to act swiftly by sealing Pak-Afghan border, effectively neutralize the sympathizers and facilitators of insurgent groups and pressurize Afghanistan to dismantle presence of these groups on Afghan soil. Untill and unless we do not take concrete steps against such Indian maneuvers we can not achieve the goal of establishing peace in Pakistan in 2016.

Note: The views expressed are totally personal so please feel free to object and disagree, if dnt find them realistic. I would rather be glad if someone points out loop holes in what all that has been presented.

Can someone please explain that why an Indian consulate has to be in near vicinity for India to carry terrorist attacks in Pakistan(as alleged)?? I know that there are some quarters which has put blame on attacks like PNS Mehran, Sri Lanka team attack etc and if i am right they are not in proximity to AF.....

These attacks could also be made to distract the meetings with Iran and Saudi Arabia;

Oh no, not again :undecided:
Same story of Patterns and narratives
To think tanks.... Kindly give the OP several stars/positive ratings and help to save the bandwidth :coffee:

Pakistan must need to take this matter up with important capitals of world. Indian involvement in Pakistan still exist. Completely agree with the OP that Strict border management is required on Pak-Afghan Border.

I am worried that how CPEC will be safe guarded if thousands of people from Afghanistan cross Pakistani border daily unchecked. This is just horrific and terrible situation.

Pakistan is suffering due to lack of lobbying/diplomacy. India covers up all its terrorism by its economic, media and diplomatic clout. So no one pin points India. It also uses Terrorism propaganda against Pakistan to hide what she herself is doing in Pakistan. Just look what India did with Nepal (blockade of supplies), heck not a single world power noticed it. We need to look what makes India so bold and confident that they make such aggressive and bold moves against their all neighbors except China. We never see any Indian Gov't going aggressive against China or threating them, Why? Do we have an answer?

We Pakistanis lack far behind Indians in creating perception/mind game. In today's politics, you don't call your enemies as your foes, you call them terrorists. So, that you can prepare whole world whats coming next if bad guys(your enemy) do something. Pakistan must need to propagate its point of view to every channel available, not leaving a single opportunity for Indian fantasy. We need to read/prepare/advance/adopt Psychological warfare because it is being imposed on us. Chinese can help us out though.

Les read The Art of War Book by J. H. Huang and Sun Tzu........:)

Well it is a clear cut reminder that job is not done yet. We still have to go long way to eliminate terror from our soil.

As Much as Indians would like to believe , that this is the handiwork of RAW, it's not true.Wish we were as adept as your ISI.But , if you insist that we are behind it , we won't upset you by stressing our denial repeatedly .

HostingBaloch terrorist group on Indian soil is also delusions of grandeur?
