Rebranding Turkey as a third world country

I write my opinion as a general Turkish citizen who lives in the middle of Turkey and have general life standard. At first mostly Turks like nearly 80 percent believe that these attacks not from just terrorist organization like Isis, Pkk or Feto. There is a power under these organizations which want a destabilized Turkey.

When we look these people in Turkey like @blondeturkish they always say we are soldier of Ataturk but they always want to move Eu or USA and speak about Turkey. They don't know that Ataturk was a soldier and fight against imperialism like now what Turkey does now.

There were a lot of wrong policies in the past. But Turkey makes the cleaning its cancer cells. I ask you , is it easy fight with cancer? No it is not. But you have to fight if you want to live.

What I say ,you kill us but you can not kill our hope about future. I believe about future of Turkey. I study more and more after this terror attacks which I can do it and pray my God. And I am always ready give my life for my country.

And most important everybody may have plan but Allah, too. And Allah is the best of the planner.

He has a point though.
He has some points, but like most anti-AKP, the party is pure evil with pure evil intentions, he is unable to make an objective statement, since his hatred has completely blinded him. Being critical means acknowledging the good and the bad, instead of painting a bleak picture of everything. Nothing is black and white, perhaps its time our people learned about some nuances.

Do people really think AKP will take out secularim in Turkey ? Or this is just a fake reason to critize the govt ?

Because since 2002 opponant speak about this AKP's secret plan to create a islamic state....but this look like more a paranoid speak now.

I can only see 2 thing which can be linked to religion in AKP policy :
-Authorised the headcraf which was already not banned in western country (and truly this ban was insulting for Turkey)
-creating more religious school but people are not forced to enroll in this.

Otherwise I see nothing about religious plan. Yes they have conservative policy (more taxe for alcool, forbiding it near school.....) but this nothing suprising AKP is right wing party, even in US or France you can find similar policy.
Pörfect. Its some peoples cry for will, favor and but attacking others instead of accepting. The same goes for conservatives. We shouldn't forget that. The middle is the solution for everyone.

We should reclaim our own faith ha? So we should embrace Tengrism again like before?

Pakistanis seriously think that secular people in Turkey are wannabe-Europeans, don't they? :D

The Secular people of this country are the ones who embrace Turkishness and they're very proud of their Asian roots on the other hand conservatives tend to worship Arabs because of İslam and that's the fundamental problem here.

Here that's my identity:

According to you we should embrace İslam and accept Arab culture, l know.

Religion here isn't important, the important thing is how you raise your countrymen as a whole.

Look where İslam brought us, in El-Bab Turkish soldiers are fighting against their own blood(Uyghurs,Özbeks,Kazaks etc) and the last terror suspect came from Kyrgyzstan.

Now blondeturkish guy here might be a provocateur but we should accept that some of the things he mentions is quite true.

The government tried to do a counterrevolution(to secularism) but in the end they messed up everything.

Every single policy whether internal, external, terror, economy policies collapsed.

Now from an outside perspective, Erdoğan and his party may seem perfect to you but you have no idea what kind of scandals this country went through in the last 14 years.

Your superb post simply explains what should be a priority for a nation. A religion or culture of the land?...Whenever religion and culture of the land does not go hand in hand, chaos prevails in society.

I was in Turkey in MAy 2016. I was there in May 2014 as well. This time, there were no tourists. Main tourists attraction in Istanbul were empty.

This is not fault of any government I guess. This is where Turkey suffers because of its geography. With Syria on side and Iraq on the other. Both countries suffering due to extremist ideology of the West to invade countries to 'build nations' or re draw the map of the region.

Turkey cant be immune to such an extreme flux. What you see in Turkey today unfortunately is the result of whats happening in the neighborhood. I hope the protagonists of this ideological war going in Middle East, namely Britain, France and US and their rich arab poodles, are defeated in Syria. If Syria is lost, Turkey will go through even greater instability.

I m planning to stop over in March in Istanbul again. I love Turkey. Probably the most noble people I have met. Love going there again and again. Turkey is a great nation. Long live Turkey and its people.

You know you'd usually expect nationalists (not all, a specific idiot in this thread) to be proud of their country, try to stay strong while their country is being attacked by terrorists. But you get the opposite, their first instinct is to find a way to shame their own nation. It's like "Oh, there was a terrorist attack, yup, screw the terrorist, f*ck Erdogan!". Lan Erdogan her istediginizi yapar, hic kimsenin s*k*nde olmaz, sonra bir bomba patlayinca hoooop, tayyibin yedi sulalesine kadar soversiniz. You blame AKP government for everything that is happening, I can assure you, if any other party was in lead right now, you wouldn't even be writing all your trash talk on here because you'd probably be stuck in an all out war.

Turkey is stuck in the middle of a sh*t whole, and by that I mean the middle-east. We have terrorist literally at our borders, I dont get how some people expect us to be "Terrorist-Free". Look at America? Look at Canada? Half way across the God damn world, they dont get any "Islamic" terrorist attacks, and maybe because America is their father.

We have 3 million refugees, Turkey has the most responsibilities out of every country in the world. Everyone expects us to be responsible for supressing ISIS and other rebel groups, babysitting 3 million people, while all at the same time, Erdogan has to make sure Turkey is guaranteed 100% safe. Yeah, idk which world you guys live in your head, but this is the real world. Terrorist attacks happen to almost every country today, but no one wants to re-brand them as 3rd world.

Go re-brand yourself as a third-world person, and if you are ashamed of your own "3rd world country", then don't say you are from Turkey. Go be "free-minded" American.
