I believe posters such as the OP do not understand or appreciate or perhaps are unwilling to acknowledge the Indian mindset towards Kashmir. Even if every single Kashmiri Sunni muslim (the only demographic group to have sizeable population with pro-separatist sentiments) were to come out on the streets with guns and Pakistani flags (Or Kashmiri or ISIS flags) and chant India go back, We will hold it, no matter what the cost, no matter how heavy the losses.

It is morally, ethically and strategically imperative for us that we control and administer Kashmir; the survival of every single ethnicity, sect excluding the one particular group is contingent on the Indian establishment being able to provide and project security and safety of life and afford freedom to the people to follow their customs and traditions without threat of violence.

The day India pulls out of Kashmir, the roads will turn into rivers of blood. As demonstrated by the events of the early 1990s, the minority groups will be given no quarter, shown no mercy. They will be lynched in the streets, murdered in their homes. The day we pull back, these minorities will become sub-human, fit to be exterminated, to the ascendant masters. Kashmir will become the valley of roses, the valley of blood roses.

The idea of India, the idea of humanity, the idea of opposing tyranny, the absolute necessity of preventing the rise of a genocidal regime all necessitate without exception, the absolute necessity that the Indian government fight on, no matter ho difficult the path, no matter the sacrifices needed, no matter how hostile the people.

India will do whatever it takes to protect Kashmir. We will destroy it, in order to protect it. Humanity, and posterity will never forgive us if we do not hold firm.

Truth is bitter.... rest of all are assumptions and statements without any ground realities... the reality is what... a guy faced in kashmir not only him but another person talking the same what he had faced in 2014/2015 in fact since 1947... you hold Kashmir "By Force" without the will of the land people simple accept it or living in denial mode. This all Minority bullshits world listen from you guys since ages but the reality is a guy faced same behavior (which you call so called minority) across the Kashmir tour from A - Z.

Very well written.

But there are other Muslim majority areas in the country where the Indian national flag is frowned upon. This is a mentality. Based on faith.

nobody is denying sunni majority dont want to be with India
Sunnis nowhere want to be with India. :coffee: Except some liberal urban elites and uneducated non Masjid going villagers.

Btw. I have done this and with a pagdi as well. Nobody dared to throw a stone. But they did use slangs. Sikhs are feared. Hindus - not so much. :D

People can throw stones all they want. The reality on the ground wont change due to stones.

My cousin has been there; he reported seeing more Pakistani flags there than in Pakistan itself.

Kashmir was never part of India. Indian Occupation Forces have been carrying out genocide of Kashmiri people deliberately. People of Kashmir will never accept the Indian occupation. Their hearts beat in sync with Pakistani people. You can kill them but never win their hearts. Pakistan need to re-energize and support Kashmiri freedom fighters through every possible way as this a disputed area and UN has failed to fullfil its pledge on plebiscite.
Yaran-e-Jahan kehtay hain Kashmir hai jannat
Jannnat kisi kafir ko mili hai na milay gi
Translation
People of the world say that the valley of Kashmir is a heaven
No infidel ever got heaven, neither in the past nor in the future

This is the core of the issue, not territory, not people, but the foundations of our states in south Asia. Accepting majority rule and the victimisation of minorities simply because they are minorities is completely inimical to the idea of India, and will only create a patchwork of majority community state-lets.

You have exterminated your minorities everywhere, in West Pakistan as it was, before and after 1971, in East Pakistan before 1971, without any obstruction. On the other hand, our minorities have grown from strength to strength. That itself shows why you shouldn't be left free to do what pleases you especially to do what pleases you when there is a minority present.
