পত্রিকাটির একজন সিনিয়র সাংবাদিক নতুন বার্তা ডটকমকে জানান, রোববার দিবাগত রাত পৌনে ১২টার দিকে একদল সাদা পোশাকধারী সংগ্রাম অফিসে ঢুকে। তারা পত্রিকাটির বিভিন্ন কক্ষে তল্লাশি চালায়। যাওয়ার সময় তারা সহকারী বার্তা সম্পাদক সাহাদত হোসাইন, প্রডাকশন ম্যানেজার খায়রুল ইসলাম, ডেসপাস ম্যানেজার আবদুল হামিদসহ পাঁচজনকে ধরে নিয়ে যায়।

তাদের কোথায় নিয়ে গেছে সে সম্পর্কে সংগ্রামের লোকজন কোনোকিছু জানতে পারেননি বলে জানান ওই সাংবাদিক।

উল্লেখ্য এর আগে দু’বার সংগ্রাম অফিসে পুলিশ তল্লাশি চালিয়েছিল। একবার পত্রিকাটির সম্পাদক আবুল আসাদকে ধরেও নিয়ে গিয়েছিল পুলিশ।

The poster whom I was replying to was suggesting that India wanted to annex BD, in that context (as absurd as the context is to begin with) I doubt that the islamists or the extremists would let any sort of peace prevail.

You're going to have to deal with the fact that India will always maintain influence in BD, its a foregone conclusion- BD is situated in South Asia and South Asia is our concern. A growing nation needs to maintain a certain amount of influence- coercive or otherwise. A change in that status quo would just force India to change tracks and coordinate with whoever is in power and suborn them to cater to certain interests of our nation. Its a sine qua non of geo-politics, its up to you people to try and gain benefit for yourselves from such dealings.

A fools dream peddled by fools who have no understanding of the concept of a nation state. The political consensus in the country is to not pursue such a fallacious idea and even the most hardliner VHP/RSS fellows are clear on that.
