Real Madrid to establish sports schools in Pakistan

The Real Madrid Foundation (FRM), an NGO established by Spanish football giants Real Madrid, signed an MoU with a Pakistani NGO yesterday at the Santiago Bernabeu which will see FRM establish their social sports school model in Pakistan.
The project will kick off with two schools in Karachi that will comprise 400 boys and girls aged six to 17. Foreign coaches from Spain will also visit Pakistan to train local coaches.
“We are excited about the implementation of our FRM model in Pakistan for the betterment of children through the power of sport,” said Real Madrid’s Sporting Director Miguel Pardeza.
FRM was established in 1997 to service the disadvantaged through the power of sport.

Recently an Indian telecom company Airtel has offered a sort of oppurtunity to the talented young kids of India , Bangladesh and Sri lanka to play and train at Old trafford ; can u imagine

by the way you know Jinnah was the first Patron of football federation and he wanted the nation to play football instead of cricket, he advised to play football as it was a common man's game and healthy...

This is a great step forward, now the talent of lyari can be properly groomed in order to make some headway in this sport with respect to Pakistan. It is very much popular in the country, but the problem is a direction and track is not given to the aspiring youngsters. There are no facilities like the numerous cricket academies, even none by PFF as far as I know.

Thanks to the signing of a cooperation agreement with one of the most important foundations in that part of the world, The Aman Foundation, more than 250 children aged 8-13 years at risk of social exclusion will receive an education based on sporting values.

This Thursday, in the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, Realmadrid Foundation Executive Vice President, Enrique Sanchez and CEO of the Aman Foundation, Jamil Ahsan have signed a cooperation agreement for the opening of a sports academy in Pakistan. Initially, more than 250 children aged 8-13 years, residents of the city of Karachi in the province of Sindh, will take part sports and social activities. In addition, students with disabilities will receive specialised care.

Pakistan is a country with a high percentage of school non-attendance amongst the young, of which the majority are girls. Thanks to sports, these boys and girls will have extra motivation to study and learn to play football and basketball with the values conveyed by Real Madrid: companionship, effort, equality and respect."
