What's new

Reaction of Overseas Pakistani after listening PM Imran Khan Address To Nation ..

There is a stock market mafia in Pakistan and I would not invest in stocks until those big players are behind bars and new legislations introduced. And these lot won't go down without a fight so expect major fluctuations. A lot of banks will get done for money laundering as well.

Invest in Food industry stocks. It is usually safe to invest in this industry - people will continue to eat.

Pakistan stock market has actually preformed pretty well in the last 20 years, but it's this mafia that always scared me away from it.

Hopefully they can be destroyed so that the common people can invest in it as well.

Whoever is pulling the strings of puppet Imran Khan, has a great sense of humour. I wish I could watch this entertainment.

Child abuse in Pakistan is nothing but media hoax. Wasting time and effort over something nonexistent is a diversionary tactic. Hope his handlers show more jokes hidden up their sleeves.

Each person should decide what is best for himself and his circumstances. Pakistan doesn’t only need remittances, but we need educated professionals in all fields to uplift the nation. So many Pakistanis are university professors, attending physicians, and researchers who can support Pakistan directly in this sphere.

Unfortunately many Pakistanis in the West are married to White, Arab, or Turkish women and it will be difficult for their families and children to adjust in Pakistan.

I suggest those who are young Pakistanis to obtain an education in a professional field or some unorthodox field which Pakistan lacks. Work in the US to understand the system and bring your knowledge back to Pakistan to modernize the country.

I cannot bash it he is a Pakistani and has all the right to return to his country and do how ever he likes but I agree with you people need to stay over seas and work for their nation but one has to admire his love.

My brain rejects his move my heart praises him. I am speechless.
Nawaz Sharif asked the same thing after the sanctions were put on. Loot and kasoot followed after expatriates sent their money and got burnt they are shy to do so again. as they say bitten once twice shy. We need to get over this free money crap and start working for it. En-skill the people and provide them the resources and support to progress for long term stability and achievement.

I have a question, does sending money using western union help Pakistan or does only help if you send money via a bank

Yup, don't get me wrong. I do admire his love for nation and he have every right to choose what he wants to, but we have to remember that in order to have strong support in international forums Pakistan needs rich and highly educated Pakistanis over seas, specially in countries like US. Just look how strong Indian lobby has become in the past decade. Indians in US are most successful group because they are focusing on getting higher degrees resulting in high position jobs and double income compare to US average. It is Indian lobby in US who is creating troubles for Pakistan internationally, indian govt does not have that capability.

I am doing this with my own family and I know others in our village do this too. Anyone overseas, if you can, spare some meney, even a few dollars a month and help people in your family or village or mohala or whatever to go to university or to start businesses. It can be small, buy someone a sewing machine or a rickshaw or tractor accessories, or funds to open a shop, anything.

By helping 1 little guy at a time we can make a big difference in thier lives.
We have been doing for the past 3 decades...I was under the impression everyone did this, no? :what:

Best thing is to send to do a Bank to Bank transfer

Technically these companies Western Union also offer a transfer to Bank account in Pakistan however I do not know about currency exchange rate if it is better at Western Union or at Banks

Amongst our elders everyone did, but amongst the British born less so. Our elders lived simpler lives and gave everything they had extra to families and the less fortunate, we spend more on things like cars, expensive houses, designer clothes etc. People still give to charity but perhaps as not a high percentage of thier spare income as our elders did.
